Cyclists are untouchable. They can do anything they like wherever they like. It’s time the police started to look at cyclists and there behaviour on and off the road in a more serious way.

    Thats fine then .

As others said the train is really crowded !!!!!!!!!

It’s all relative really to people making a living having worked in the meat industry as employee and shop owner where the average mark up was 30% then deduct costs of running shop, wages etc there’s not much left.

If people think there’s so much profit there ,go do it themselves.

Working as an employee is far less stress than being a business owner ,speaking from both sides.

Used to work in a supported house that was on a cul-d -sac where 6 out 0f 12 houses were Jehovah witness owned, used to get the Mormons n born again crowd around was fun to watch out the windows.

Company policy was to get the client to answer their own door too .
with us stood in the background ,was amusing sometimes as our guys were interesting to deal with if you didn’t know them to say the least.

Bad breath is our old Bernese’s problem, tooth rot was the cause, check the mouth out carefully as some vets are reluctant to poke around the nashers.

Agreeing with that Karrimor is no longer a sign of quality product.

I have tried various boots and talking to local specialist walking shop ,opted for a decent leather boot ad applying the right dressing is the only way to go.

Roast slowly with cover of foil, basted in good red wine or decent porter ,then strain off remainder of juices n reduce for a sauce.

any leftovers ,chop into chunks with bacon n wild mushroom and make a pie .

I did, unfortunately, run over a squirrel. He tried to run under my bottom bracket. Clunked him with pedal and he was squished by rear tyre at some speed

I am attending MTB rider rehab as I’m a repeat offender

If it was a grey ,you should be making em up with lines thru them, like the old bombers did with the hun .

We can only do what makes each of us happy at the moment in time.

I moved from heavy ,cold manual career in meat industry to the care sector after life happenings ,my dad passing early 2 years after his retirement .

We then moved country so my wife could be closer to her mother to support through illness, recently departed too now .

So we look again at our lot.

We are mortgage free, live in a great part of Ireland ,rural,i work 3/4 days a week n wife now does 3 nights , and plan to make the most of our lot being late 40s/early 50s.

Just do whats right for you n yours .

Land Rovers are totally impractical bike transports

I have to disagree,110 hard top held three bikes, riders, pressure stove, n associated brew kit,but not coed n brenin, further south down BRECFA with the Beast.

We married when the constant bonking where ever we could had the obvious results, that was 28 years ago,and 3 children later.
We have been thru the mill with life,a bushiness going bust ,house repossession, got fired from a good job(false accusations of fraud, later they coughed right royally),parents on my side lost the plot,Dad then passed away n mom tried living with us 2 years, but that didn’t work.

But we came thru it all, come close to separation at times, certainly fared better than wife’s two sisters ,who have both had two failed marriages kids by different farther’s,n neither settled still.

But we now are mortgage free, own our own house in a rural part of Ireland ,i work 3 days wk on average, ride when i want ,we walk together as my wife is not big cycling fan.
And the Sex life is great .

    SO it CAN WORK>

It’s all down to working at it.

Success after trying combination of 1 cent pieces ,they do bend nicely around end of extractor, now got nice copper end molded around it now ,looks quite cool :)

needless to say it was reluctant to to be extracted.

We have DoneDeal a classified online add service ,but people are notoriously bad at descriptions that goes for all sales, vague is not the word.

Years ago toured on Claud Butler Majestic, thought it was great then .

But now would be tempted by good hybrid, discs would offer better braking with load on,you have narrow wheels n decent rubber.

    Worth a look.

My favorite recovery drink at present is coconut milk n mango smoothie with added ginger n cinnamon.(Cows milk tends to split)

Prepare before i go for ride n chill in fridge

Mangos cheap at aldi or lidl n coconut milk from lidl keeps cost down too

50 here by the way ,ride about twice a week at least.

Local guild of spinners weavers n dyers,my wife was a member of ceredigion guild when we lived in west wales, but live in Eire now so bit far to travel for wool.

Got local farmer contact thru work now, similar here in se ireland for farmers ,don’t get much for fleece ,so wife knits up hats for the donating farmers family from the wool.

Worked in a small bakery in Waterford for 14 mnths ,rose to supervisor ,but owner who couldn’t plan ahead,so similar situ, leave cancelled last min, always working over etc, at start new hol year, can’t afford to pay you or let you have time off she said, because she’d cut staff to fine.

Staff turnover was high to say the least.

So i left just mid December ,even gave her extra wks notice, said i was being selfish in dropping her in it.

Now work where they pay all accrued extra hol time no problem n keep you updated as to amount they owe me.
