Slightly OT, seems like this is going to be months to complete whatever happens, so I was thinking of a semi fat option for my blue pig to serve beach duties through the summer.
Was thinking of 2.4 advantage or rear & 3″ Duro Leopard.
Will this be ok for general beach riding on firmer sand?

I will be riding almost identical conditions to you on the moray coast. After you experiences with the alfine, would you say it was bad luck or just not fit for beach riding?

I’m just over 6″ with a long torso, on paper i think that the 18″ might be ok as the effective TT is the same as my 18″ blue pig??

I’m a Hydraulics tech working in Norway on a 2 weeks on 4 weeks off rota.
Pay more tax working in Norway, but the union system in Norway is first class & provides excellent benefits.

Agencies are a very good way to get started, I worked for one for first 2 years. I know that most of them are looking for people right now.

Cant really go wrong unless you buy the really cheap one that are super stretchy & thin. Get a couple of different lengths for various combos.

I have good results using a motor bike cargo net, 6 hooks & elasticated net that fully covers dry bags, tents etc. Local garage or motor factor should see you reeeet.

Are these draggy to ride with the fat/wide/sand combo going on?
