I was given a £15 Lamy Safari 16 years ago, and I'm still using it almost every day. As it's plastic, it's also light

You need to tell us more. What are the moral shortcomings of the company, and what field are you in?
Perhaps you just need to become inured to the pile of poo that life can become……

His art is witty, well executed and inspires others: I think there's less mindless tagging in the streets now that good graffiti is accepted.

The exhibition was the first art exposition that made me laugh out loud, it was subversive and fun, and I go see plenty of art. He is definitely an artist.

and one reason we don't do anything nasty to Iran is that by mining or blocking the Straits of Hormuz they could cripple the world's economy very very quickly.

As for "Why are we still allowing soldiers to be killed with Iranian weapons? One of our guys is killed by an i.e.d=One of their power plants, hard-to-replace bridges becomes a crater."

It's because we supply weapons to the rest of the world, too.
We didn't bomb hell out of France when the Exocets hit our ships, we don't bomb Russia when our troops are shot with Kalashnikovs. Time to grow up.

If I remember correctly it's the phenylethylamine and some of the more complex chemicals present in small quantities which cause the headaches, rather than the theobromine.
I get the same thing with beer. More than a pint and I get a hangover. Thankfully, cider's OK.

I celebrated yesterday by watching the sunrise & dawn at Avebury.
Terry the Druid & about 80 other people were there.
The snow made it utterly magical.

    🙂
    Shame about the roads

Thin-film photovoltaics for power in sunny countries

And a new plague to wipe out 80% of the world's population.

The big lad down the next street who threatened to duff me up. I can't remember his name, now.

Give them a sentence or two to say why you would be good for the company / organisation / research group and how your experience could benefit them.

It would be unprofessional & bad for your business to copy others in on the email, but I suggest that you write tomorrow to give him 7 days to pay, then small claims court. Document everything.

But do it soon. If he can't pay it may be because he's going under slowly, so get your money quick. Or he hopes you will & he won;t have to pay ever.

    Hiking, not hitch-hiking.
    You know, trekking or hill-walking.

The borders are ill-defined, so if you're walking in the mountains it'd be easy to stray. (As I did many years ago in the Communist era on the Czech-Polish border, and had a man with a gun suggesting I retrace my steps)

"While you're at the bar, will you get me a drink?"

Thirty years on, two grown-up children & she's still paying for me, poor woman.

If you're 18 you don't need fold-flat seats. Anywhere will do. And MkIII Capris had hardly any room in the back, if I remember rightly.

    Nice, wasn't it? 😀

As a long-term member of Henleaze Swimming Club it was great to see the place & people I know…..

    Gotta catch them first.

The one that hid in our toaster moved so quickly I missed it.

Oh, and what a nice barn. It probably was near where we camped last summer.

Have you thought of a moat?

A secret cellar for special parties.
Expose beams so that hammocks can be slung when feeling louche.

I'd put solar h/w heating on the roof, not photovoltaics.
    And a weather-cock.

Was it her boss who's more worried about profits than staff?

As above, the "month's salary " bit was a mid-80's marketing ploy to improve sales. In the 70s, I spent a week's wages and that was more than enough.

What makes you think that the royals bring in tourism? I don't notice Brits flocking to the palaces of other monarchies such as Belgium or Denmark. We hear about our royals because they are ours, other countries don't care.

Perhaps Iran knows more about global oil reserves than most, and reckons it needs uranium for nuclear power stations.
That's what it says the sites are for.

Yes, but at the moment I find it very isolating as there's no interaction.
That's the reason for being on here.

Looking for a job with some field work as well as home-based.

    Ah bugger.
Here I am at 56, wearing jeans, trainers, hoody.
With much less hair than I had at 21.
    Sorry girls.

    DUnno about dope getting weaker.
I remember walking through a field after eating some space-cakes and watching the corners of the field start to fold up around me. It was very beautiful.

PLus a little acid, speed once or twice, etc.
I don't even drink that much now and when I've tried weed recently it doesn't seem to do anything to or for me. One day I will try coke, but haven't yet.

I had a long day's lesson in Whistler a few years ago. It didn't do a great deal for me, being quite inactive in some ways. All my landings were good except the last one, which cost me some skin & clothing. I still bear the scars.
