I don’t like phones which need a lot of faff, such as OS’s with gltches, programs that don’t work etc etc. I also like a nice reliable phone that won’t let me down.
I need email and a reasonable camera, internet would be good too but I am trying to cut down how much I use it (it was so easy with iPhone) so it’s not the most important thing, just occasional use hopefully.

My HTC does all this, it’s been reliable for the last 8 months. It’s also easy to use, few noticeable glitches, & does lots more besides.
    What’s your problem with them?

Do you find it much better than 2-thumbed typing with the normal predictive on? I tried the beta, found it so-so.

I don’t know about you, but I find it MUCH easier and therefore safer to walk on the semi-cleared roads than the pavement. So I do. I usually move over when cars come. No-one’s offered me a lift yet, selfish bastards.

    I’m not convinced about 5Elefant’s cod-psychology.
Would it matter if the male cheater were the active partner in a gay adultery, as that would (could) imply he was dominant?
And who’s to say that penetration is necessarily a concomitant of dominance? It’s certainly not in many species.

There is really only one issue here, the infidelity. I’d forgive (and have done) a one night stand, but an affair a la Sharki would be the end. Similarly, a pattern of one-night drunken shags would kill the relationship for me.

We all make mistakes, but we have to learn from them.

(And I disagree about the “not meeting her desires”. It’s rarely a matter of not getting enough at home, it’s a matter of being greedy. Who eats a kebab when sober?)

I found a LandyDisco plipper down the road a while ago.
Now I know which car it came from I can give you a test ride, if you want.

never win a land war! utter bollocks napoleon got his ass kicked by nelson and let’s not forget agincourt eh!. mind you my history knowledge is utter bollocks too,

Your geography’s not much good, either. Admiral Nelson fought sea battles, the title’s a bit of a giveaway.
Agincourt? Crecy? Just two battles in the Hundred-Year War. And tell me, at the end of it, how much territory in France did England own? Zilch. We lost lots of battles, it’s just that for some reason they aren’t mentioned in English history books.

Even Waterloo was close-run, and we’d have lost there if the English had not been rescued by the Prussians.

How much do you want to spend?
I saw a very decent Trannie for £5k last week.

Go for medium-long wheelbase van, rather than a coach-built. Stadning room is important, as is the absence of bulkhead – you want to get into the back easily in a rainstorm. You can wash in the sink, crap in a bucket at a pinch, so a full washroom suite isn’t a necessity.
Also get a layout which enables both the side and rear doors to open. It’s more useful than you might think.
(I’m on my second big van now, 3 yrs with an Iveco Daily, now on a Ducato)

I had a rear window shatter on a Micra, immediately after turning the screen heater off. ’twas almost freezing & rainy at the time.

    Bristolbiker,
    Thanks for the (only) recommendation.
Stuart was able to do the work we wanted, even did some additional stuff at the weekend, and charged a fair price.
If you know him, give him my regards.
and also let him know who you are, he owes you a pint or two.

I’d start with a GCSE chemistry book as they are designed to be easy to understand, and build upon an assumed knowledge of nothing. Then work up…

It’ll take a couple of years hard study before he’ll be able to synthesise his own designer drugs.

5 slides for 15 minutes is good.
Practice in front of a recorder first, it’s amazing how much longer it takes than you think it will.

    Smart metering?
I was THE expert in that once upon a time.

You know how you feel warm when rays of sunlight hit you?
It’s like that, but a different type of ray(diation) that can penetrate inside stuff to heat it.

It’s not bad for you unless the rays escape from the box, that’s why it won’t work when the oven door is open. The rays can’t escape because of the design of the door & materials. The energy from the rays are transformed into heat, just like sun on your face.

I don’t think you can get rid of the ribbon on MS-Word.
    Effing thing.

Also look at Google docs (desktop) and Zoho.
or why not the MS accessory, Wordpad ?

KT, sounds like you have some serious issues.
    Inferiority complex?

After many years Mrs M now earns more than me, but we’re partners so why should it matter? She’s better at me than some things, I’m better than her at others. So long as we make each other happy, that’s fine.

We have one friend, Mrs M’s best mate from university, who probably earns a 7-figure income. Her man has been the main carer for kids & home, & it works just fine. If you feel that you have to be wealthier, wonder why…

Take the kids to nursery & expose yourself to lots of bugs, it’s the only way. Go to places where you’ll meet lots of unwashed other people.

I spent three years working in a sewage treatment plant, breathing it in, & I never had a cold in all that time.

By the way, there’s nothing suspected about the Porton Down site. It certainly deals with germ & chemical warfare (countermeasure) research. It’s next door to the PHLS labs which were separated off a few years ago. The cold research work has now ceased, they realised it just wasn’t worth the effort.

It’s normal, but then I do a fair bit of open-water swimming. My scrotum seems to compress the plums up into my abdomen in cold, and a bit of cosy warmth will coax them down with no harm done. It’s better than frost-bite.

Yes, the Royal Family is great for British tourism.

Just like the Belgian, Dutch, Swedish royal families are. That’s exactly why hundred of thousands of British & American tourists swan off to those countries every year: for the pageantry & history.

    Or perhaps not.
They are a parasitic waste of space, and as for Harry and his 2 dads…

I’ve used arrangements like this when I’ve been working away from home a lot. I used my own bedlinen & towels which I took home to be washed at weekends, most of my other junk went into a storage box for the w/e; not that there was much of it. I paid per night spent over as it wasn;t that regular, but that was convenient for both parties as the landlord worked away as well, staying with his girlfriend.
My short-distance commuter bike went in the shed.

if you’ve just “heard rumours” then perhaps she’s not that close a friend of yours? If she’s been at other relationships behind her partner’s back then it’s no wonder she’s kept it quiet.
What advice can we give you? None of your business? There’s little you can do if you’re not close enough to know where she’s living now, or to ring her up just for a chat.

a bit like the labour one flogging off the gold at a historic low point in it’s value

or selling off North Sea oil at $11/ barrel instead of current prices?
    No difference, really.

in answer to the question: Fume.
asking your friends to de-friend her is deffo wimpish.
You should be going out with your mates, not skulking at home.
It just needs time to get over her, and preferable some time with a totally unsuitable other woman.

    Good luck! and MTFU

    T-J – seconded.
Yes, the reason that she was re-elected was the patriotic madness after the Falklands, a was that her own neglect of diplomacy and aspects of defence allowed to happen.

I can’t see why Brown has been castigated for selling off gold cheaply when all our governments have also been keen to sell off N.Sea oil at low prices -it’s now 10 times what it was in Mrs T’s day.

Clean the area thoroughly to get rid of his markings, then put outdoors anti-cat stuff down. If that fails, you ‘ll have to pee there every evening to mark it as your territory.

I suspect there’s a family in our compost bin.
There doesn’t appear to be much damage done.

But a couple of years ago there was a family brought up behind our kitchen units – we caught one youngster in the toaster. We replaced the airbricks under the house – that’s where they were getting in. No trouble since then.
