    A second Civil War.
That would be fun to watch.

GT Tequesta, a speckled pale blue colour. It was nicked along with two Spesh CrossRoads (I think) and replaced with a GT Karakorum which lives on, in the shed.

Teesside was the county name from the mid 70s to 80s, I think.
It was reorganised in Mrs T’s day to break the power of the local council. (Along with a number of other regional county changes)
Cleveland includes a lump more of N Yorks and also Hartlepool.

Dear god, where do I start?
    1 shed full.
1 spare room full. About 10 frames all in, some of which are in full bike format. PLus tools, spares, kit.
    Lots of wheels,
    Lots of tyres,
    camelbacks etc
    Pumps
    Boxes of stuff gathering dust

The problem is, sometime soon Mrs M wants to have a new kitchen which will involve losing the shed & clearing the spare room so we can cook in it for 3-4 months.
Any volunteers for helping me clear up & out?

I’ve had a rigid SS version for the last year. I prefer it to any of my other bikes – it’s just great fun.

Who’s got the XC version in stock? I looked a couple of months ago and couldn’t see anywhere.

My mates in the army enjoyed their first few years.
My cousin had a great career – and he switched to another uniform when he left.

However his son also joined & trod on an IED.
    He died horribly.

Try to persuade your son against it, – if only to make sure your conscience is clear if he runs into an Afghan with a gun.

There’s no reason why state-owned flats for MPs should be all the same, if they have children still living with them then larger flats are available.
But letting one flat then claiming expenses for renting another is just plain immoral. Up agaist the wall, matriarchal copulators.

Try lots of pairs on, & get the ones which fit.
    It’s important for boots.

I like Meindl & Lowa because I’ve got wide fit.
Salomon is slightly snug, Asolo hurt like hell on me, but others love them

Don’t go mail order – unless you aren’t planning to walk more than a couple of miles at a time.

Having bow legs & feet that point outwards. It’s how some poeple are built.
    My mother-in-law used to call them dew-beaters. I thought she’d said jew-beaters.

We were on the Ridgeway near Shaftesbury last w/e, a mudfest where the effing 4x4s had made puddles up to knee level and beyond. It needs dry weather

Yes, £5k is easily doable if you stay away from VW. Our w-reg Iveco was 7k 5 years ago, we sold for (I think) 5.5k after using it for three. It was a good solid beast of a home conversion.
Look on your local gumtree and be prepared to haggle.
    Have a look at this:
    Cheap!

    There’s loads online about it.

In answer to the original question, it’s because the US protects Israel and is opposed to Iran’s government.
It’s not illegal for Iran to develop these weapons, as it’s not a signatory of the relevant treaties. However the US, the most powerful armed nation, does not want them to and thus imposes sanctions.

    Congratulations on the purchase, Stoner.
    Long time no see, etc.
With regards to sheds etc. my brother-in-law is a farmer who still has some prewar shephers’ huts, basically sheds on wheels, which look right and which can be moved around the wood as required.
If they weren’t full of chicken crap and old iron, they could be made very comfortable.

We did some walking there this summer, the back roads / tracks would be worth a day or so, but the maps are non-existent. It might be worth asking Stanfords now for something useful. There were no maps in the shops showing all the tracks. Family-wise, the buses from Supetar go all over the island so you could have a day in Bol easily. Get a timetable from the tourist office when you get off the ferry, only 20 yards away. The island beaches are pebbly, though.
Zlatni Rat doesn’t look like that in the summer, it’s too crowded to see the beach!

Amedias. If that were the case then there would have to have been a massive shift in our biology/external biological influence over recent years to account for such a large change in population weight distribution, and it would not be limited to the so-called developed world.

Unless that external influence was a foodstuff almost exclusively limited to the developed world, like fructose in – well, most processed foods. It supposedly alters your insulin balance, changing the tendency to put down fat.

    JamiePorter:
I am absolutely convinced that fat people are fat because they eat too much, and thin people are thin because they eat less. I do not have any data to prove this. I am happy to be proved incorrect if someone can point me in the direction of the data.

I referred you to the Princeton Uni study above. Next try searching MedLine / PubMed for other articles by the same author, and associations between fructose / HFCS and metabolism in Quertle.info

    There’s the daTA!

Don’t forget the recent introduction of fructose syrups into our diet.
This seems to be almost as dangerous as tobacco if this is to be believed:

pcb : Since when were modern Samaritans specifically religious?
They’re just people who care for others, just as likely to be atheists as not.

Remember that in the bible story, the whole point about them was that Samaritans were NOT Jewish, but acted from pure goodness.

I’ve bought & sold a few things on Gumtree, which I like because it can be very local. Yes, some vendors don’t reply when the article has been already sold.

Why not buy a Mezzo D9 instead? I have one for sale, hardly used, the very one shown on the Gadget Show a couple of years ago. I just don’t need a folder now.

Click to call highlights numbers on screen which it thinks are telephones, so you can just click these & then skype will call them.

They usually have a blue skype icon immediately to the left of the number. It works in Word & Excel, too.

You’re not there for yourself, you’re at a wedding to show affection and respect for the couple getting married.
    So smarten up!

A suit is a good start.
With formal shirt & tie & leather shoes if you’re aiming to do it properly, with dark shirt & daps if you want to show off your bohemian (as opposed to slovenly) side.

A line of 10 bikes in single file with a good gap between each (cos you’ve broken up their close formation) would be lots longer than an artic. Overtaking would need a good long view ahead- they were probably right & you were wrong.

I probably spend more time there than here, ‘cos of the swearing and stuff. The relationships section makes for depressing reading, though – so much shit happening to so many people.
