There’s a chance that her unusual development is not wholly natural. I went to a genomics / genetics conference a few years ago where there was a talk on mutations caused by anti-malarial insecticides used in South Africa. There’s a ethics problem: do you prefer not to spray, which means lots of babies dying from malaria, or spraying and the 1 in 400 (I think) children who grow up with some form of intersex abnormality.
I’m not sure that the study was published.but it was a real eye-opener at the time.

What’s very interesting is the numbe of people who just assume that the industrial problems were only apparent under Labour.
    Why is that?

I’m guessing you don’t remember 1979 and streets lined with uncollected rubbish, or the 3 day week,

That was 1974 and a Tory government – seems like you don’t remember it either

I’ve taken Lisinopril for about 10 years – I don’t think it has affected my fitness but it has brought my BP down. I used to get regular nosebleeds , but since I started on the drug they are much rarer. Other ACE inhibitors are available.

If they are hooked up, surely a fan heater on its lowest setting will get them as warm as toast in 20 minutes?
Otherwise, use the gas blown air system. What’s the problem?

OCrider is right, Sainsbury’s used to sell the mix as savoury peanut butter. They stopped selling it around 20 years ago, I think.

If you believe that having an interest only mortgage for 20+ years is in any way risky and less likely to waste money than renting you are a fool.

Mmm. Yet someone might have been paying interest for 20 years then at the end of it, find that they now owe the bank several hundred K to buy it. Unless they’ve saved hard, they’re stuffed.

It’s ace. There’ll be some form of induction & safety lecture, but that’s all you need. Like cycling, you don’t have to be good to have a really fine time.

If the ring is specifically designed for singlespeed, no. The teeth won’t fit through a 10-speed chain.

Not online, but the best honey I’ve tasted for a while is Co-Op Chilean runny brown fairtrade. I’s got a bitterness which makes it a step up from bland sweet stuff.

Not MTB but town singlespeed: I’ve broken both left and right arms of a Sugino Messenger crankset. Over the bars both times, into the road. It hurt, lots.
    Suggestions for replacements welcome.

For holiday documents, get a colour laser.
You might need maps, copies of your pasports, spare ID photos.

If you can get a wifi printer, so much the better.
FWIW, my Samsung is about 7 years old, gets turned on weekly, and although its not glitch-free, still does the job.

English will last a few more decades, then Mandarin.
The UK’s influence is fading quickly, but the ex-colonies will keep it going for a while – English is used as a shared language in much of India (and the biggest-selling English newspapers are there).
The US’ influence is also ebbing away, esp as Spanish is growing in usage there. China wants minerals & markets, & will buy its way into government support for its use internationally.

I’ve stayed in Llanbedr may times (Perth-y-Pia, Glebe barn) and there are plenty of bike routes available if you look at the OS maps. It’s probably a better bet for walking, though.

Yes, you’re a mountain biker if you want to be.

Same here, I haven’t been to the woods more than twice in the last year – but I yearn for it and count myself in.

I also have a pair of Karrimor / SportsDirect carbon poles with cam-locks. They are fine, light and solid.

In the past I’ve used Leki and other brands of twist-lock poles. Nearly all of them, especially Leki, seem to seize or otherwise stop working after 3-4 years’ of use.

The lack of empathy seems like a an aspect of mild autism, which can manifest itself at different ages.
I’d recommend finding the right sub-forum on Mumsnet, which can often provide excfellent advice and a huge range of experiences including blended families and expats / immigrants.

I usually ask if they’re OK – in the local woods its sometimes just the lack of a multitool that has forced them to walk.

Last August bank holiday I lulled the van over on the NYM to give ome guy a lift to Commondale station, I can’t remember what his problem was, but it was a long walk to the nearest railway.

    Nico:

Back in the ’90s there were moves afoot to change our drinking culture to a continental cafe culture but it was just a pipe dream.

You should live around here, every high street seems to sprout cafes or bars which are packed. And the pubs are closing nationwide as a result. Eating out and cafes are the new pub.
