I’ve got one and love it! Just one MAJOR downside though….

When I was talking to the sales lass (T-Mobile) I was told it is waterPROOF and shockPROOF – not resistant. She gave examples of 10 minutes in a pint of water and being thrown against a wall.

Mine stopped working (wouldn’t charge) and I took it into the shop where they said it wasn’t covered because the moisture-exposure tab indicated liquid had entered the phone. I had to shout, scream and threaten OFCOM & mis-selling before they sent out a replacement.

Love it though!!

would I really benefit from running it as a 29er?

I understand that acceleration will suffer but top speed will increase (I hope…) any other advantages / disadvantages?

There’s only one hill on the 5 miile jaunt and even that’s easily doable on the big-ring. As I said, its all cycle-path or road but the other thing I was worried about is my weight – I’m not the smallest of blokes!

Regretted it about 6 months later. Married her after 16 months.

I used to have a Series 2 Megane CC and vowed I would never have another Renault again.

About 10 months ago I bought a 1.5dci Renault Megane Dynamique 5dr hatch. It is superb! £35 a year to tax, I’ve got 68mpg on a run and it has loads of gadgets you wouldn’t expect (the later one’s come with Sat Nav as standard). I bought mine for £11k 10 months old with 19500 on the clock. It has 2 year / 20,000 mile servicing intervals also. The build quality since the business with Nissan has really gone through the roof. I am REALLY impressed with it.

Really cheap to run, within budget and you can get people in it. The rear leg room isn’t the best, but I’m 6-1 and like a ‘relaxed’ driving position so the person behind me suffers.

I can’t moan at CRC. Was very concerned ordering a 200mm front rotor and super-fast bast4rd size shorts of them, but delivered they were in a timely fasion – IN A NICE BIG BOX!!!

No issues from CRC this end….but would love to give on-one a go (hmmm, inbred, carbon fork, black and white two tone finishing kit…..*pinch*)
