Any update for us OP – has the offender been reducated yet?

That’s a personnel matter between them and their manager. They didn’t assault me in the lift on Tuesday, which is a good thing

Enough to make me think I should get rid of some. If anyone wants any size 42 short sleeved FLAB jerseys, I’m your man….

Yep, I’ve got an early (2014?)  MaxxD that they sorted last year for £20, now my back up light.

If you are funding your own infrastructure builds through “printing money” why won’t people just charge more for stuff? What stops inflation going through the roof?

Maybe that’s one of the reasons we don’t do MMT?

This has been done on a couple of threads already.

I don’t blame you for wanting to start another as none of it made sense on the other ones.

The primary reason the Dems launched the hurricane on Florida was to destroy all the mail in ballots sat in post boxes. Have you lot not been reading the news?

It’s  so obvious when you say it like that!

We’ve had apple Stollen bites in the house for a fortnight

The only appropriate response to that is how have they lasted a fortnight?

Some people aren’t really getting the point of this thread at all.

Waking up to the Brexit outcome was “WTAF?”

Waking up to a Trump victory will seem like the End of Days.

BBC reporting Trump spouting utter shite again last night, defending Jan 6th and trying to appeal the female vote.

I really hope there’s a substantial silent majority wanting Harris.

To be fair, there is also some German media laughing about England having a German coach.

    The Mail isn’t laughing though.

Long time ago I was paid off and flew to Bilbao , this change my view of cycling in the UK. Cycled back to Swindon, thats why i will never do LeJog . Done quite a few Spain and France end to ends. In Europe it’s a different culture

I can see attraction of that, to be fair.

A friend has just retired and decided Lejog wasn’t as attractive as she thought. Last year she did France from the Channel to the Med, and she’s just finished Munich to Rome, which looks pretty amazing on her photos.

Presumably the pressure on oil prices with Israel sabre rattling at Iran will hit next month’s inflation figures?

Has she had the interview? It’s not uncommon for “contacts” to reach out unofficially when confirming their choice for a job, I know ex colleagues/managers have vouched for me in my days in the private sector.

If it’s pre-interview, then there’s no reason for that info to be leaked and spread that way. That’s a big issue of trust and confidence even if it’s not an actual GDPR breach. Would I want to trust the new employer going forward with any private issue, eg health issues?

If it impacts how she is treated by her current employer, I’d be keeping full records as that breach of confidentiality is impacting her career  and potentially health.

I’m not a fan of how the FA/England system is run, and I’m not totally convinced by Tuchel, but I really hope that he wins something with England and rubs the Mail’s nose in it.

    That’s just vile.

The only question is lid or no lid.

    Heat pie

    Remove lid

    Spoon on thick brandy cream

    Replace lid

    Nom

    Repeat.

I’m a complete sucker for mince pies. Left my job last week and they know of my weakness hence bought me eight boxes. Already got through two.

Do they have their own privately stocked waters?

They could collect up the random crap the others leave by the towpath and restock their own ponds

I’m still eating hot cross buns now the world has seen sense to stock them year round. I’ll happily cross the streams and have a mince pie chaser!

His pronouncements on abortion and “failing to see the moral argument” for paid annual leave – means that on his demise, I will celebrate.

Given that his dad wrote “The Sovereign Individual” that has helped fuel all kinds of right wing bellendery, it’s no surprise.

Council Health Ride last night – celebratory Jelly Babies were shared mid way round as Ian celebrated 2000 miles for the year.

Some yoga with Kassandra tonight, and then real life yoga with Paul tomorrow night – one of our clubmates is a yoga instructor and does weekly sessions through the winter which are always packed to capacity.

I’ve had a mate who was a ride leader on RAB, and another drove a support vehicle. Both have said its a hard way to do it.

I’m looking into the idea at the moment. I kind of started with the idea of how far I wanted to ride each day (roughly) and then figured out how long that would take me at a steady touring pace. At 60-80 miles a day, looking at 12-16 days.

I’m very much a quiet roads and comfy beds kind of guy, so then I started looking at organised tours. Peak Tours, based in Glossop are likely favourites, a few friends have done big tours with them and I did a short C2C with them earlier this year.

I’m now fantasising about a metal bike shed with a covered canopy bike wash attached – bicycle en suite?

I hope they are encouraged to claim their space, be bold and assertive and not cower in the gutter.

Covered very well in Bikeability when our kids did it, was pleasantly surprised.

For me once they are 5 ish they are best on the road if possible but then the question is behind or in front of you?

Always in front with my kids, so I was behind and could see what they were doing/advise them, and also keep myself further out to protect them from traffic.

Adult social  ride leader training has the ride leader “leading” from the back. Which is sod all use on a club ride ?

I’ve insulated and lined it out. Very nice place to be & work. Would recommend

Be interested how you did that and how much internal space you lost,  if any? There’s a shed here to be replaced next year

    Bike between you and dog.

But I’d be making absolutely sure the owner knew of their legal obligations to keep a dog under control.  If I could get a picture of them or the dog on my phone I would, and even without a pic I’d be making noises on local social media to see if anyone else had had issues – it’s rarely a one off and the Police like to know if there’s a pattern of behaviour.

I’m also a weirdo who loves dogs and will ask to say hello to them.
