I have a pair Shimano MW501 and combined with a pair of Sealskinz Raynham socks (sometimes with the addition of a pair of Bridgedale Coolmax socks), never have my feet been warmer or dryer.

The Rapha insulated Brevet Gillet is an absolute cracker. Its £165.00 from Rapha but only £74.00 from Sports Pursuit where I got mine from.

I’m halfway through it and whilst finding it a struggle (reconciling issues of isolation, depression and mental health) but its incredible acting and a great story.

Just like the first film it is definitely not from the comic book version of the “Batman universe” but a darker 1970’s grimy New York vibe.

It all depends what you want from your coffee.
Nespresso and other similar capsule devices only gives the illusion of espresso and coffee milk drinks in my view.
They have positives in terms of no faff but offer a compromise in terms of the “real deal” espresso experience.
If I didn’t have a half decent machine (and I include the bambino) I would rely on a Mocca pot (I have one also) or “pour over” (V60 Dripper) for my coffee rather can a capsule.
The selection of the bean, storage, grind, puck preparation, machine set up, extraction just appeal.
When its all dialled in very easy and enjoyable.
Happy coffee, however you take it

The last time I was in Ingleton (last year) sadly Bernies was closed.

Having spent my formative years in Venture Scouts caving in the area and feating on the breakfasts and pints of tea I do hope its open again.

To throw a spanner in the works I would recomend the Four4th Scortch QRS.

I have had the standard Scortch for three years and its an incredible little light giving out 2200 lumens.

It comes with either a helmet or bar mount but you can purchase another oposite mount for total flexibility.

It’s fair to say the faff on a Sunday morning is a distracting joy.

its all about puck preparation ??

Evri for me are absolutly shocking. Delivery notification feels like 10 minutes before they decide to leave at at the front door (my house is directly on a road and no garden)

You cant ammend a delivery or ever ever speak to a human.

Like above I avoid any seller who uses them.

I buy in 250 g bags, lob them in the freezer and then decant into a Kilner jar, then grind from that.

I listended to the BBC Radio work series last week and the failures were there to see and predict.

Building standards were set aside for “system design” to be encoraged.

Cladding was fire tested and then sold out of context of those very tests.

Its a shocking example of parts of British Industry and Local/National Government.

Those 72 people who lost their lives I cant imagine the pain of their death and the effects upon family and friends.

I have a Gaggia Classic 2003 so might be seen as being already one one side of the fence.

For me the classis evo goes back to the pre 2015 models.

All stainless steel body 58mm porta filter, two way solenoid and its a gaggia.

I am sure more opinions will come along ;)

Its an absolute disgrace that ticket prices self adjust to rip people off.

As for OASIS, I saw them in 1998 at the Reebok Stadium and was not impressed.

Unfortunetly there is no more money left.

After shelling out billions in not fit for purpose PPE, shipping companies with no ships, companies defrauding the country through the furlow system, multinationals underpaying tax, high speed rail links that only go 35% of the distance they were planned to do (also buying up large tracks of land in chesheire as well as homes), consultants fees at every turn, then aircraft carriers that raise in cost like bread dough.

After all that it will be up to the tax payer to pick up the tab and volunteer to clean up as well.

I have a 20 year old Gaggia Classic matched to a greaty little Ibertial MC2 grinder.

I am down the rabbit hole with a bottomless filter, steam wand mod to the Gaggia, dosing cup, levelling tool, needle distribution tool, dosing ring, small set of digital scales, rubber tamping mat, a tidy tamper, happy donkey coffee in the freezer and a big smile.

I had a camino 2022 AL and did a lot of road work including a sportive from Leicester to London (162 miles) and it was a delight to ride.

My new 2023 Ti is even better.

My dear old dad who passed away five years ago received an MBE for charitable works.

It was the proudest day of my like seeing him receive the award at Buckingham Palace.
