    Also struggling with resize.

I tend to keep window small to only see post text. When doing that after the update the size jumps all over the place and adverts compresses the text area making it a horrible user experience!

I used to struggle with this.. tried all the “product” tricks (High 5, Magnesium, Tonic Water…) but the only thing that actually helped was a proper stretching routine (with firm foam roller) and a couple sports massages on the problem areas.

I used to commute 55 miles each way for 2 years (4 times a week) but was on quick roads and only took me an hour each way.

Anything above that would have been hard.

Its fine on a good day but when traffic or accidents effect you things turn ugly (and risk is increase due to large distance).

I also suffer from this in both feet and eventually went down the surgery route after no luck with insoles / shoes / stretching and injections.

The one major complication of surgery happened to me in both feet (stump neuroma) and am now facing further surgery. I’m currently looking into Cryosurgey as mentioned by lodious above. lodious – I’d be really interested to hear how you get on!

Its a nasty little condition and I really hope you have better luck than i’ve had!

I didn’t say premium brand – I said premium product. When you look at travel towels, that one comes out top in reviews & price.

Thanks for you comments. Im going to take a punt on the Mountain Warehouse offering.

Hmmm – two very different answers there.

jwt – Your post and link scares me.. however the idea of paying someone to change a lightbulb seems outrageous.

    Any idea on expected costs?

They are ok. App market isnt mature enough.

If you like apps (like Ski Tracks etc.) then avoid.

Just to close the loop in case this is helpful to anyone…

I ended up getting the LG G3 as I found a good deal for 5GB of 4G data per month. I’ve only had it for 2 days but I must say I’m very happy with it. The phone is lightning quick and a joy to use for reading documents or websites.

I also bought a tempered glass screen protector which I would recommend for any phone. It was considerably easier to apply compared to the old screen protectors and also has a nice feeling on the finger (as its glass)

If travelling by train, take a look at the following:

    http://www.daysoutguide.co.uk/2for1-london

It allows you to get 2 for 1 on a number of big attractions in London (you need a rail ticket though)

molgrips, I will let the numbers do the talking:

    Android apps – ~1.2 million
    iOS apps – ~1.2 million
    Windows Phone apps – ~245,000

I have windows 8.1 work phone and really like it due its simplicity and use of tiles to show data. E.g. share prices and next bus times etc.

I works very well as a work phone.

I wouldn’t for a second consider it as my main phone though as the app market is terrible…really terrible.

Hardly any apps in comparison. Needs sorting & couple years of maturity before I consider switching!

I don’t understand how the staff working at a supermarket have any influence over this at all?

The only thing stores can do is run promotions or print coupons at tills but this is something decided by the store manager / sector manager surely?

Its not like they can approach a customer and say “go on, push the boat out, add another banana to that bunch”.

I use that when at work Jamie for smaller items (which is great I might add) but nothing close to me at home.

Has anyone had the joy of using Amazon deliveries?

If you are out when they try and deliver, their only option is to try to redeliver. Considering I work during the day, this is never going to work well me for me.

As they don’t have any collection facilities, all they can do is try 3 times then they cancel your order. How useful…

I wish they still used RM for their deliveries.

I’ve been to a fair few Greek islands but my favourites are Thasos and Skiathos.

Thasos doesnt have an airport so less brits than the others which is a winner in my eyes.

Ha – This is close to home for me as I played a 5 a side tournament recently after not having kicked a ball for 6 years (played&trained 3 times per week for local team from aged 9-16).

Assumptions were that because I cycle a lot I will be the fittest in the team.. that was way of the mark.

Body simply wasn’t used to the explosive type of exercise. I thought I was going to be sick on the pitch and spent a fair bit of time with my hands on my knees.

My advice would echo same as the above really. Warm up well, stretch, warm down, stretch, stretch..stretch…Take some whey protein if you have any

You will be sore for 1-2 days after, no doubting that. Best fun i’ve had for a long time though.

Playing in defence is a good move..just track those runs.

Poolman – you would be out doing a round if start time is 9am.

Most postmen start at 6am to do the sorting and get out on their round between 9-10am.

Temp staff come in at 9am and collect their presorted mail and just do the delivery.

as this is a cycling based website dare I suggest a Boris bike?

If you saw the queue for a Boris bike this morning and the carnage on the roads you wouldn’t have suggested that. Lots of people who appeared to have no idea how to ride a bike today.

OP – why dont you walk the #59 bus route and jump on if you spot it?

    montarius

Northern line was running today but expect big queues and at least 30 min delays before you get onto a train. The whole experience will be very unpleasant!

Dont bother with Taxi, the queue at Waterloo was laughable today.

You could get this bus (#59) which is direct between both stations but once you consider the queue to get onto the bus your best off just walking.

Thanks for your advise, I went for the Air in the end and am so far very pleased with it.

Only issue is needing a case so that I can get an angle for typing / watching etc. Any case recommendations? Looked at the SmartCase but bad reviews and expensive. What about the SmartCover?

    Recommendations appreciated!
