Try again. I didn’t send ‘many’ emails to ‘either’ of them. It’s all up there. The whole unfortunate chain of events. Just Renton although God knows I got ‘many’ from him. “Pitch forks”? For a free gift? Really?
Never mind. Carry on without me.

    You **** what?
Have you got me on your blocked senders list? I have replied to every single (and God knows how many) email(s) you have sent!
I gave my daughter £5 and the parcel to post and £5 for sending it (she does nothing for free) so that’s cost me £10. Sadly, I didn’t know she hadn’t bothered herself to actually post it for quite a few days but in the meantime, your endless questions regarding a brand new £100 pair of bib shorts that I was sending you for FREE was getting very tedious! Some of them were reading as almost demands!
Before I discovered them unsent I was wishing I’d never bothered trying to do a kind thing.
When I did discover them unsent, I emailed you to tell you what I was doing (with an apology but I’d seen my arse by this point), stuck them on Ebay, sold them, have paypal’ed the money to St. Anns Hospice and then had this bollocks pointed out to me! We’re done fella. Never again.
I should have known this was a bad idea when I emailed you at the very beginning to say that if RobBob didn’t get a shift on and reply with £5 postage (this was the Saturday and I said I’d give him until last thing Sunday night) you could have them. To which you replied you’d send me £5 straight away if it “influenced your decision”….hardly in the spirit of the offer but I thought I’d let it slide.
    I think we’re done, fella.
You try to do a nice thing…….
RobBob. I said as you were first to claim them, I’d post them within 30 mins (I was just on my way to the post office anyway) if you’d be so kind as to send me the £5 for postage and your address. No reply until mid week. I wanted rid. Sorry, you missed out.
With that, I would advise never trying to do a random kind thing on here and say thanks to the guys who have vouched for me. All this for trying to GIVE AWAY some expensive, brand new cycle shorts. Cheeky ****! Never again…..

I reckon you’ll be much faster by wearing shoes too small for you. No, I do, honestly. You’ll be in so much pain, you’ll push harder to get the ride over with sooner so you can get the ‘too small shoes’ off of your tortured feet.
Genius! I’ll let you take the credit for it though.

Thanks for all the help! 15″ Mac Book Pro with Retina Display has been delivered, switched on, Microsoft Office 365 installed and work has begun (in between lots of talking on screen and online with friends).
I am, once again “The best person in the world! Completely the best bitch fam! I can’t cope and I’m not even joking!”

Thank you Jambalaya. That’s a nice thing to say. She’s getting my 20k inheritance when it comes through. I don’t want it and I’m hoping she uses it to get her own business firmly up and running.

It’s coming through the post. I went into the Apple Store in the Trafford Centre. I panicked. I left. Quickly.
Ordered it online. If I take it to the store in Manchester, will they do it for me? I doubt however that I’ll be allowed to even look at it and she probably knows exactly how to do it herself.

Thank you for the link above. I’m thinking that she’ll be fine with 365 personal? Also, (and I’m not doing this on purpose, I promise) can I (or my daughter most likely) buy this online and instantly download it on to her Mac Book Pro 15″ with Retina Display (I like the full description) and start work and therefore start earning money and get the hell out of my finances?

This talk of “tax” is making me nervous. Please stop it.
She has to have Microsoft Office apparently or the spreadsheets that she will be sent, working on and sending back won’t work properly if she uses any other programme. This is what I’m told. I know nothing.
Thanks for all the suggestions and help. She’s going to buy 365 (with my card, obviously, as ever….)

Thank you everybody. Now I can talk to her with some authority on the subject and she’ll not think I’m as dumb as she thinks I am.

Not in education. It’s for work. Well, she’s doing some consultancy work……kind of…..in the music business…
I have no idea what drives etc are. Sorry if I’m a bit computer dim but I am where I am.
I’ve bought her a 15″ Mac Book Pro with Retina Display for her 18th. She gets it tomorrow. Not a day too soon apparently. She’s got to have a heap of work done by Monday.

Thank you! Saved me half an hour up and down the M6 to get to the southbound services. I’ve found the servcie road entry for northbound but southbound only has an exit to the slip road it would seem.

The big day is this coming Saturday. The route as yet is still undecided. I better get on with that bit although I’ll probably find Crazy Legs on Strava and then do the Scotland bit as above.

One year ago and on the first page of this thread, a very knowledge person on this subject said “To be honest, I’d say that being shelled out the back in your first race isn’t a problem. If you’re being shelled out after your 10th race you’ll know if you’re crap! First race, it’s practically expected!”…….

15 pages and one year later you stare “I’m pissed off tbh. I think I had the fitness but not the wherewithal or balls to sit up front on the line. I know this is “only” my 10th race but I had to watch two of my club (And congrats to them because I am pleased) that I ride with as more or less equals fight for top 10 yet I come away with a dnf.”

Sorry but it looks to me like it is what it is.

Thank you Mr M (waves back)
I had the saddle and stem already. Nothing else. I got a top deal from a really nice forum member.
I also have a 120mm silver stem and seatpost for £17 posted for the both if anybody does decide to go with the silver parts route.

i took this out for a ride today. It’s quite heavy but for a smidge over £340, I’m very happy with it (if somebody could do the picture thing, I’d be very grateful)

She “Can’t be arsed with all that shit, bitch! Quit stressing fam, bitch is doin me swede in!”
She used to be such a lovely girl……
I’m organising a passport for her. She can’t have a driving licence without a passport (she doesn’t have the relevant docs. for a licence if she doesn’t have a passport) and she might sod off on holiday for a month or two….
Thanks for the help. God help Manchester when she’s 18……….

Is a provisional accepted then? Mint! I was under the impression (although I don’t know where from) that only a full licence was accepted as ID.
    Thanks very much.

I was invited to a trial at Bournemouth when I was s school. Everybody took the mick but I was dead chuffed. I’ve always had a soft spot for them.
I couldn’t go for the trial. My dad broke my wrist the day before. I think he did Bournemouth a favour :-). I went to Luton a few months later instead. Where are they now? Not in the Premier League. That’s for sure……

What was the fix Rorschach? Just in case….
I’ve been convinced it was something around the chainset / bb but I couldn’t find anything. I’ll go back and have another look.

Medium alloy Rorschach. Need I be worried?
Definitely needs more than bolts tightening Eddie.

Thanks for the reply. The bike is making an awful knocking/creaking noise that I’ve chased all over the frame and parts and the only thing left is the headset. It feels gritty anyway so I’ll give it a go on Saturday.

I have to be honest, whilst I’m loathe to critiscise the person running a business that includes a Sarn Helen route, 10 days is hugely excessive, surely? Whichever variation.
4 days is doable and still challenging. 5 days with margin for picnics.

I don’t know what the Mam Tor figure of eight is but if you like rocky, steep, wide trails with lovely views, you won’t go wrong whichever direction you go.
The weather looks good up here this weekend as well.

18 miles each way. Just about every day, each way Monday to Friday. I hate it sometimes.

I think you need to ask yourself “Is this bike riding malarky really for me?”. You do seem to have an incredible amount of issues with it.

This is the sometimes frustrating thing that I find with Sarn Helen. There are so many variations of the route. The actual Roman Road itself (I believe) is largely disputed and often has dual carriageways following it.
The variation I’ve done twice has it’s fair share of B roads but is mostly off road and my best is 3 and a bit days (nearly 4 days to be honest).
I’m doing it again in July this year but I’m going to do some research on a different to my previous route.

Stockport town centre has a couple of short, steep climbs if you’re wanting to do a few up and downs. Monks Road is a bugger. I can get up Winnats but I didn’t get up that bitch!. I have a very quick ‘cross bike hill climb circuit from my front door in Marple which involves Brabyn’s Brow, Mellor and Lakes Road.
My commute from Trafford Park is pan flat until I cross the Manchester / Stockport border (at Didsbury/Heaton Moor) and then it immediately gets lumpy .

    DOMS. Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness.
Do the exercise that causes the discomfort less and build up the length and intensity gradually. Gently stretch (not eccentricly) warmed up muscles. Gentle massage and cool down afterwards. Warm bath can help relieve the pain a little. It’s minuscule damage to the muscle fibres caused during excerise that go on to repair stronger. It’s a process that needs to occur.

“Get them to sign the listing print out. If they claim not received. Inform PayPal that you have evidence and will be contacting police re an attempted fraud and if monies are removed from your account you will regard this as an unauthorized withdrawal.”

    Nothing to do with Paypal.

How can Paypal take funds from your ( the seller’s) account to repay the buyer if he fraudulently claims the item wasn’t sent to him after he paid cash and the seller handed the goods over when the buyer didn’t use Paypal in the first place and as such, Paypal have absolutely nothing to do with anything?

Paypal can only reverse a transaction, not randomly donate money to people.
