Sensible Soccer, Speedball2 and first and second samurai took up hours of time on my Amiga.

As did Cannon Fodder, happy days

2k is 6.57.4 which was done a while ago, not close to that at the moment, not sure I ever will be.

Used to follow a training plan on the C2 website which split intervals with endurance. 10k is 38:26.

I think anyone can enter Birc, you don’t need a sub7 time.

I used to own one along with other hardtail frames made of Steel. To my mind its just another hardtail, not really wildly different from the competition.

You’ll get more admiring looks at the cafe stop than if you had a Specialized, which I imagine is the one of the primary reasons for a lot of purchases.

Do them a couple of times a week. I tend to break them down into 2k chunks and Its not so bad.

Hour sessions also fly by if you break them down in a similar manner.

Ignore the resistance bar that’s just for meatheads at the gym who crank it up to 10. You need to set the drag factor found in the menus at around 115-125 IIRC.

C2 rowers last forever and hold their value well too. Plenty of tips and training plans over on the c2 UK forum.

I did the Pete plan and that improvedy my times dramatically and has been said is very complimentary to cycling fitness.

I see the plea for no petty bickering had a result.

I must have been in a cave because I didn’t think youtube would have any of this. It even had the Beverly Ann one I mentioned earlier but the video is not for the squeamish

We do 41 hours in a 4.5 day week here.
Friday morning is the least productive time.

Agreed,we do the same albeit on 36 hours and on a Friday by the time i’ve had a coffee, browsed the internet and shuffled a few papers its time to go home.

    bonjour le weekend

I find Ocado pretty good. Very rarely have missing items and all the fresh stuff has long best before dates.

Normally with your first delivery there are Quidco savings to be had too.

Can take time to respond but your holiday will be fine. Nothing but praise here, seem to come into their own especially if you or one of your party are hospitalised.

Agreed Molini very nice with great riding, make sure you go when the snail festival is on. Some of those buggers were quicker than me.

Rad – I tried that but the music interface in the car would always default to the ipod rather and overridethe spotify app

I mainly use either Amazon or itunes dependant upon whose the cheapest 9 times out of 10 its Amazon by 50p.

I had a Spotify subscription but it wouldn’t work in the car, which is where 95% of my listening to music occurs so that was a non starter for me.

Also look on the for sale section of the c2 site for rowers coming up. They are very well built and go forever but you would rather have one thats been in private hands rather then an ex gym one.

Yes you need to set the drag factor rather than adjusting the lever on the side. I row with a df of 125

I have a Concept 2 at home which I use about 3 times a week, in the Winter that gets upped to about 5 times a week.

Technique is crucial and the Concept2 UK forum is a very good place to get solid info. I used to be a gym warrior cranking the lever to 10 and going at a spm of 35 and then wondering why I could never get a 10k under 40 minutes.

Rowing is very conducive to bike fitness as the power from the stroke comes from the legs not the arms.

For a good training program I would recommend the pete plan over at c2

I use an 8lb splitting maul that copes with the majority of the logs I chop in a couple of swings, for knotty logs that are trickier I just bung them over the fence and forget about them. There is a technique though because the first time I used it I may as well have used a rubber chicken.

I find an axe tends to stick in the wood too much for my liking.

Agreed that Walkers take some beating but Smokey Bacon, that’s down with their Roast Chicken as one to avoid.

Now Prawn Cocktail and Worcester Sauce that’s a different matter.

Indeed I think a large degree of the polarisation can be sourced back to the harping on of the OP.

Had 3 of the buggers now all at different times, every Spring seems to be favourite. Apparently they can do a lot of damage but they weren’t given the opportunity as I’ve a hotlines to the pest control people as we’ve had wasps up there as well.

Noisy bastards tend to stomp around at about 4AM.

I’ve since strengthened the roof with chicken wire and cut down a near by tree they were using as a launchpad to get to the roof.

£15 for an album, i’d search a little harder. Try Amazon

Funny there’s enough bleating when peoples bikes get nicked but thats different isn’t it.
