There’s pretty much no need to buy at full price as there’s either a sale or discount code floating around somewhere. Whilst I can’t comment on the classic too the bib shorts are a thing of beauty. Putting them on is akin to having Rachael Riley caress your nethers.
If they are the same as Zondas (fulcrum 3) then it’s a case of loosening off the 2.5mm Allen screw, tighten the top cap (easiest way is to tighten with Allen key in screw head) re tighten screw.
There’s the wahoo snap that’s out sometime soon that’s cheaper than the kickr, but I went for the Tacx Bushido as they’ve just opened it up. I found pairing it with an iPad through trainer road resulted in a lot of dropped connections whereas paired with a laptop and the ant+ key on an extension cord while importing Sufferfest videos works very well.
I have my Sonos 1and3 hooked up to an airport expressunit so I can AirPlay anything to the speakers. I only use the Sonos to group and ungroup the speakers these days.
Jambourgie – I remember picking those in a field populated by a young bull that would charge you just as you found a nice clump. Protecting his stash no doubt.
Got 23s on the winter hack and 25s on the proper bike. Changing to 25s from 23s on the proper bike I noticed an improvement in comfort , for the margins I work in speed was essentially the same.
Thought it was pretty poor. There was a very strong scene in the South in the 70’s and after Wigan closed there were plenty of venues taking up the mantle. Leicester, Hinkley, Cleethorpes, Stafford, the 100 club to name a few. It wasn’t all Soft Cell and Heartbreak Avenue although I did hear that played at Peterborough.
I don’t like the DHB bibs. I have a couple of their Aeron pro shorts and the pad quickly became as comfy as a rolled up copy of Heat magazine.
I prefer Castelli or our club kit uses Endura Pro shorts, which are good too.
Helmet I’d suggest go to LBS and see what fits well.
Glasses I use Bolle safety glasses. V cheap off eBay so when I lose them it’s not the end of the world
I use ridewithgps and create a tcx file for my 500. The only issue I have is that the cue sheet always has roundabouts as straight on so I manually change those.
Once I’ve created the route download it and put it in the new files directory on the Garmin. The info it gives, which can’t be changed is the breadcrumb trail, an arrow highlighting the next turn and how far it is.
