    Up the A1, turn off to Huntingdon (5-10 minutes) there’s an old fashioned tailors called James Cox.

    I got a last minute suit, shirt and tie for under £200. Shop was full of gents buying last minute suits.

    Would probably advise ringing ahead to check stock.

    Not sure I’d recommend looking round the rest of the town though.

    If I was brush painting I’d lay down an undercoat from a rattle can, from memory Halfords do a suitable one. Look to britmodeller for advice. I’d then be applying multiple, thin coats of my paint of choice, thinned with their thinner or distilled water. A good quality brush also helps.

    My preferred paint is Vallejo. They have painting tips on their website. I only brush paint the small parts as I could never get a finish I was happy with so I bought an airbrush, but that’s an investment.

    I had this too. Changed the password but somehow it didn’t update in keychain. Had backup email etc, etc, but just ended in the circular loop. Never got access to it again.

    I’m with the OP. I’m hopeless at BBQing.

    Once I’ve got got the coals going in the starter I usually have about 2 minutes until I can chill beer on them.

    It’s a fan oven for me.

    Unsurprisingly, PistonHeads is full of these threads. From what I can see Plasfloor is the tile of choice. It’s the one I’ll be doing my garage in when I get round to it.

    Hannants have xtracolour Matt black in enamel. That should be a pretty close match.

    For the rigging I used ez line for the thinner cables and prym knit in elastic with brass sleeves and copper wire eyelets for the remainder.

    xtracolor = enamel
    xtracrylix = acrylic

    I’ve used the acrylic paint and you need to thin it. I used their own thinner and some W&N flow improver, but it is temperamental, I just use it to brush paint small parts these days.

    I’ve never used xtracolor but I was surprised it’s classed as airbrush ready unless they’ve changed their formula in the last few years. I’ve used xtracrylix and that needs thinning.

    Was it thin in consistency straight from the tin. Not familiar with the other brand at all.

    Airbrush should be fine. A good strip down and thorough clean (cellulose thinners should sort it out)

    If you are airbrushing and have good ventilation then these paints get good reviews from those that use them. Caveat, I’ve not used them yet, but I plan to test out their WW1 colours soon.

    An airbrush and compressor are an expense and my experience has been buy cheap buy twice, however I’ve seen reports of many people happy with the AS186 set (just over £100 on Amazon), which includes 2 airbrushes. If you’re painting in a garage, you’ll need a moisture trap and at this time of year you’ll need two, one on the compressor and one on the brush.

    As to paints, just get them as and when. My preference is gunze or tamiya thinned with gunze levelling thinner. Whatever kit you are doing you’ll always need a new colour.

    Basic airbrushing is fairly straight forward, so you should get a better result than brushing with your first attempt. More subtle techniques will come with practice.

    I bought that exact tv for our kitchen. Smart options are good and wide ranging. Picture in hd and 4K also good. Sd picture ok, but the plasma deals with sd better. For the money I’m very impressed.

    I’ve watched the first series, I don’t know how many times and never got any further. I want to like it but it never quite hooks me in. Whereas the wire I went from start to finish without skipping a beat.

    I bought a couple of metres of flexible tube from eBay for a couple of quid, I think it’s used for fish tanks.

    There’s a gcn video on YouTube how to do it. It worked perfectly for me although I couldn’t do the rear brake as the hole was only the width of the inner cable.

    google the Pete plan. You may get pet plan insurance as your first hit though.

    Have a look through his Pete plan and beginner plans. I followed this for a while and I’d liken it to a Sufferfest video. Gets you fit quick.

    C2 forums are a useful resource as well.

    I’ve built quite a few WNW kits and found the Bristol one of their more trickier kits. I did an all white Aussie scheme. If you haven’t got an optivisor I’d recommend getting one, although you do look like king of the nerds wearing it.

    I enjoy rigging, however it can be daunting first time out so if you need any tips.

    If your airbrushing then Alclad white primer works well.

    Sufferfest doesn’t control erg trainers over Bluetooth, you’ll need an ant+ dongle. They say it’s coming at some stage.

    Their training plans also need to be more intereactive, again they say that’s something they’re working on.

    I still prefer it to Zwift.

    Alcad primers, grey my default but black and white are also good. Will stink the house out though.

    I don’t like rattle can primers as they can be heavy handed.

    Paint thinned with just IPA dries instantly. I use it for white and yellow as you can add multiple coats in a short space of time. The finish isn’t great due to it drying so quickly, so a couple of coats with a normal thinner finishes it off nicely.
