I had a Haro Beasley 650b singlespeed, also available as a 1×9. Lovely bike, not sure if they are still available.

Interesting this richie, I am currently awaiting my new bike and have opted for some hope v2’s…previously used xt, the model prior to ice tech, will have to see how they fare, going for larger rotors tho. I had mini mono’s a few years back and never had any issues hence why I went for hope…

Cove hustler???? CRC are selling them for 1099.. On offer….

Just bought a nickel. The only colours left are White or lime green (medium) …they are being discontinued after this year hence the price drop. If I couldn’t have got a nickel the cove was next on the list…

Look at it like this…if you go to work and earn an honest crust why the hell not, if you can afford it, buy it, if the good lady approves, Bonus, if not, talk her round….you only live once. If you realise it’s an expensive mistake bollo@….learn from it and buy the next car with your head….Go for it….. :!:….life is too short

Hi wwaswas, one of the guys I ride with has the ml 5??? and he loves it. Did the passportes this year and was the only bike not to clog with the claggy mud. I love it, you hardly see any about, but we did spot a bright red one at the Chatel bike park!!!
He has had some issues with the rear shock but stendec in Holywell sorted that out for him….
Those forks are just so cool too….

Any of the cars you mentioned will have hefty repair bills at some point. If it’s got a good history go for it…

Colwyn Bay mountain zoo. Very good fun and loads of animals. 10 min drive from Conwy. Good fun for the kids. Llandudno is ok for a walk along the front, but be aware it is the retirement capital of north Wales so be prepared for the smell of wee and lavender. Avoid Rhyl and Prestatyn…crap holes…llanberis has some nice places to visit/walks. The slate mine s a good family outing….

Ridden hard tails for the past few years. Tried a santacruz superlight which was ok went back to hardtails…currently ride a Chumba hx1. Most of my riding buddies have full Suss and spend most of the time creaking along, fettling, I just find you get more bike for your cash with a h/tail

Good point. I was toying with something similar, I ride a hard tail and a group of us are off to pds next week, was considering a cheap dh bike and selling when I get back. In the end couldn’t be arsed so hired a nuke proof mega out there :D

Why not hire something out there and decide when you get back?

We did the passportes last year, my first time. I found it hard on my hands and arms. Good gloves are a must. I took some sudocreme (ahem!!) as I am not used to riding a bike every single day and it did wonders….sun creme is a must as you tend to be exposed most of the day too.

    Going back in 2 weeks for the same. Can’t wait… :D :D

Not sure if they have a serial number? If there is you could let apple know, they may be able to trace the owner as most devices are registered.

Long ago after a split with an ex gf called her up a few days after the split and told her to get to the STD clinic for a check up….she never got over that prank!

That limits your choices really. Hand bridge or hoole will probably be best…or even central Chester. Plenty of terrace properties to rent. Places to avoid are Blacon and the lache. Everywhere else should be fine.
Local bike shops aplenty…bike factory, alf jones in wrexham, plus a couple of others.

North whalian myself, buri work in Chester. As above really, if you need to rely on public transport/no car then avoid living in north Wales as the transport links ain’t good. Lots of rental properties in Chester itself as it’s a university city, hoole is nice and walking distance for the city.
If you have a car then you could choose north Wales, the Wirral (avoid ellesmere port), little/great Sutton is not bad.

Hi mate, rode a bit of stuff around the lakes too, there is an awesome ride from Hartsop car park in patter dale, takes you up to high street and follows the lake.
The borrow dale bash is a nice route from Keswick.
I have heard of a new bock rout in grizedale, but I haven’t ridden that area.
Speak to the guys at wheelbase in Staveley, there are some great routes in that area too. I have never camped in the lakes, so can’t help there….sorry.
