John Terry’s watch is a limited edition. It’s powered by the up and down shuffling motion of a five knuckle shuffle. He recharges his many many times during the day. 8)

I guessed so. The closure won’t happen until 2015, so if I get funding approval for the course it may not happen until next year, hence the thought of getting in some voluntary workshop experience.

Hi mate. I have had both. Had a saris bones which was ok, but I now run a Thule system on the roof. Very pleased with it, carries 2 bikes and a third goes in the boot if needed. I guess cost will be the main factor, as I had to buy The roof rack and the carriers

Just got back from the passportes. It was bloody cold!!!! did the event on Friday, it was relatively dry, Snow on the high areas around Champrey, fell into a snow drift too. The lifts were cold in the rain. Loads of the single track around chatel was closed due to snow damage to the trails.
It rained Saturday, loads of people gave up due to poor weather, and we heard a few stories of people bieng medivac off the mountains due to hypothermia! 8O

    All good fun..

Ok, just an update, it gets better….. Get back from the Alps yesterday, checked my emails to find that they have refunded me and that they tried to deliver said box on the 26th at 9am, but no one was in so it’s been signed for by someone called”Roberts” . No adress, no delivery info, nothing..so bike box Alan now want the box back, but no one knows where it is. Except maybe the delivery driver….oh, and I was in at 9am on the 26th, as I was packing…ffs..

Managed to finally speak to someone, it will not be here today as they messed up delivery dates. They have offered a refund and I have been running around trying to source a bike box. What a bunch of Muppets. Thing is, if someone could have been bothered to answer the phone today(before 4pm) I could have got it sorted sooner… Well thank you so very much….idiots.

For that amount, no. If he wants the boat he can give you the cheque and you hand the boat over when it clears. Trust no one…

I have nearly always had saloons. 2xvolvo s60’s which were huge, currently have a VW Jetta tdi, mahoosive boot that takes 2 bikes easily with the rear seats folded. The bikes lay on top of each other, just throw a blanket over the first and lay the second on top. Jetta’s tend to be a couple of grand less than the equivalent golf too.

It was reported on this weeks watchdog. If you go on the BBC iplayer it should be viewable.
I think it was 07 – 09 models (all models 1,3,5 series) but it was high milage models. The timing chain had failed leaving owners with huge bills in excess of 4-5k. BMW said that they had a good will policy but only on vehicles with full BMW history.
Funnily enough a friends timing chain went on his 02 Audi TT, full history, low miles and Audi paid for the lot.

Hello, North Whalian here so if you fancy doing something near Llandegla then try the Clywydians.
Penmachno is good, but as above, not everyone agrees. Llandegla can be done in an afternoon but head out towards the masts and extend the ride a bit.(directions available from the cafe)
CYB would be my choice for trail centers just for variety of trails.

I think it goes on height, so sounds to me you would book it in as a van. We took a VW touran last year, booked on as a car, if yours is any bigger then I would book as a van to be safe.

Hi mate, we (as a family) drove to Morillion near Samoens, last year
We hire a VW touran from enterprise, cost about £350 for 12 days including the extra cost for European cover. Took 4 plus loads of room. If you go on carhire 3000 they have some good offers we use them all the time.

It’s the wing flex kium one… I guess on the hardtail I was up and down off the saddle a bit more but on the full Suss it’s really uncomfortable.
The spoons look great value, what are they like for durability?

Hi mate, we use the galaxy in work, but ours is the 2.2 diesel. Loads of room, interiors are ok, ours puts up with various drivers and has lasted well, BUT in 64k loads of DPF issues despite motorway miles, wheel bearings seem to be a weak point too.

What may be worth noting however, is that if you have a fully stamped main dealer history and say 12 months later a major fault occurs, then the dealer or Honda may be more sympathetic with good will repairs. This happened to a friend of mine who had an Audi TT and the timing chain went costing £££££, full history but way out of warranty. Audi agreed to cover 2/3 parts and labour costs( nearly £4k) .. Worth bearing in mind.

As trail rat said, Honda Specialist. If not a local garage with a good reputation.
Main dealers have xxx overheads/ costs etc so will always be more expensive.

Rorschach, that doesn’t take into account initial purchase price, depreciation. You probably could double that.

    Can’t. Don’t own an Audi..
