A few years ago we had the drive dug out at our old house. We lived on a hill and digging the drive out meant a 3-4 foot drop was exposed. My wife was pregnant at the time and had to (very carefully) drop down to get out onto the road. The builder assured us this would only be like this for a day or two. However, he failed to show up for nearly 2 weeks. As you can imagine i was a bit cross.
Turns out he was in court during this time for various crimes. Needless to say we got someone else to finish the job.
To top it off the muppet turned up 3 months after the work was completed demanding payment and threatening violence.
    Git. :?

If you are with the AA, they do a very good warranty. I think you can make 3 seperate £500 claims per year. Not sure of cost, but a friend has it on his SEAT ibiza and has used it twice. He was recovered to a garage of his choice, the fault was repaired and the cost covered by the AA. Zero fuss and bother. When my warranty runs out that is the option I will be using

Good old stw sympathy, gotta love this place. :?
Plyphon hit the nail on the head, the rear mech hanger is there for a reason, that should fail first leaving the feame intact. So, technically, the hanger/dropout has either a design flaw or manufacturing problem.
Take it to where you bought it and get them to check it over, if speaking to them nicely fails flex your consumer rights.

    Hope it gets sorted

20 quid is 20 quid, if it was 5 or 10 I wouldn’t be so bothered. I have spoken to the branch who have said I can make an official complaint? so I will pop in tomorrow.
My accounts are good and I have been with the branch for 17 yrs so hopefully they dont think I am trying it on.

The wellgo v12 copies are great. Even for a comlete numpty like me changing the bearings is simple. Mine lasted 2 years before they needed doing.

And before you “bleat” (do you see what I did there) about her being on agricultural land, the sheep were grazing on common land, and out of our sight.

Iolo, cheers for thr over reaction. sheesh. The sheep was unharmed and I am sure went on to make many welshmen happy. It was a shock as we had only just got the dog and we had been assured she was fine off the lead, unfortunately the dog bolted and gave chase.
    It has never happened again.

+1 for the Border Terrier, ours is a fantastic family pooch. Getting on to 10 years old now and still going like a rocket. However they do have issues. They will chase anything, so care is needed off the lead. Ours has brought down a sheep by its throat 8O . Luckily it was just wool it had hold of, and sheep being stupid, just gave up, and the farmer wasn’t there either….
They also suffer from a genetic issue called spikes syndrome which can be passed down from generation to generation. It is similar to epilepsy and can cause seizures, so ensure there is no history within the family. Linky-

Llandegla is my local trail center, it is rather good. All the jumpyparts are rollable, and there are a few more short sharp climbs towards the end of the red route. The black is worth a detour off the red route(easy to follow, and well signposted). There is also some official off piste stuff if you want to make more of a day out. In fact they have just opened a 180k epic trail, linking local bridalpaths. Not ridden that yet, but if you ask the staff in the shop, they should give you some advice.
Oh, and the shop/cafe is closed on a Monday.

    Enjoy

Hora, i am with Virgin Mobile. (sim only)£15 per month, unlimited data, texts and calls. Working in Anglesey means crap wifi, so i tether my mobile to my tablet. Great for streaming netflix and sky go.
Virgin piggy back onto vodaphone and orange so the signal is pretty good.

Yes. fairly recently (3 weeks ago) had an off on the road, now been diagnosed with an inflamed sciatic nerve. Waiting to see the doc again, but I am back in work. My job means sitting down for 3-4 hrs at a time, so very painful at the mo’. Been for a short ride since, and that was a bit sore too…. :(

Yep, I own a 2013 granite chief. Great bike, good spec. Took a few weeks to arrive but no issues. All emails/updates were thorough ahd kept me well in formed. The bike is the 26 inch wheeled version, monarch shock, revelations, all xt inc. Wheels, crank bros finising kit. Only cost me 1700. All I changed was the saddle. Would recommend them.

Hi Munkster, the wife is doing a youth justice degree with the OU, currently into her 4th year. Its been ok, to start with there were monthly tutorials held locally but these have now stopped and all help/tutorials are now forum based. The marking has not been consistent, her marks have vatied between 60-80%, the appeals procedure is useless/non existent. But it is relatively inexpensive.
