This place, Chalet Morzine. Bloody amazing/fantastic.

The owners are lovely people and run the place like a home from home.

Crimminal Law Act 1967 ” A person may use such force as is reasonable in the circumstances in the prevention of crime or in the lawful arrest of offenders, suspect offenders or persons unlawfully at large”
In otherwords, yes they coud use them. But they would have to justify their actions if the person they arrested was injured as a result.

Take a look at Rose Bikes. I have the 2013 Granite Chief in 26 inch flavour. Very good bike, the current one is 27.5. Great back up from Fin at Rose UK too.

How about a Volvo c30.? Not too big, and cheap too. A quick look on autotrader puts prices from £3500.

I guess the skoda could be remapped. He was getting 45+mpg, build quality was spot on and the interior was really nice. His is white with a red and black interior, black alloy wheels.

Mrs has had mini’s for years. She currently has the Countryman, but before she had the Cooper. Nice car, again good build and MPG, but I hated the sports seats. She was ok, but I could never find a comfy spot.

If you fancy a skoda a mate has the 105bhp Fabia Monte Carlo, not as quick as the VRs but still a bit of go in it. Cheaper to run too.
    Mini Cooper?
    Civic Type S?

Some people can’t be bothered to leave feedback, but it works both ways. If they don’t then neither do you. Simples.

I had a nickel before i bought my Rose Granite chief. Ran it with fox float forks. Good bike, bit heavy and the paint chipped really easy, but served me well, took it to the alps a few times. Lifetime bearing replacement but not sure if that only covers the original owner.

Terrier traits – stubborn, but can be trained. Loyal, tough and fiesty. Ours loves other dogs but hates cats, rabbits squirrels, birds, sheep……anything it can chase.
In the house, sits and loves attention, great with kids and other people.

Border terrier owner here too. Great with kids, but ours can not be let off the lead as she will chase anything. In the house though, superb.

Watch for spikes disease which can effect some dogs. Ours is epileptic, but this is controlled with drugs.

So a woman turns up at royal mail depot, with id not yours, it could be a shared house, or house of multiple occupancy, and expects lowly paid person to just hand over package of whatever value, to her, then next day you turn up and ask for parcel, and they tell you its been collected, who are you going to blame royal mail, the depot staff or the company parcel ordered from.

No, my wife (not some woman) went to pick it up

I think logic would dictate the ID needs to be of the person the parcel is addressed to.

But they will leave parcels with complete strangers 4 doors down the road?

That is a Royal Mail slip, the Parcel force one was blue and white and just says bring ID.

No, checked the card, just says bring ID.

Wow. Quite a debate here. Ok, the road WAS a cul de sac, however they opened up the end, added 40 odd more houses and created a through road. The new part has speed bumps, ours doesn’t, yet, which may be worth mentioning to the council. Traffic calming could be the option here.
My issue is with the parents, not the kids. But there is a park literally 30 seconds walk away with all a kid needs or wants.
I think the parents seem to think/treat the road as a cul de sac rather than what it is now, a BUSY through road. As well as cars we have other extra traffic such as delivery vehicles, taxis etc.
I feel the parents should take responsibility for the kids, teach them road sense, not allow them to play in a busy road, but play on the park where it is safe. Shirley the kids would feel better riding on grass rather than road? I know I do.

I am not a miserable sod, rather the opposite. My feelings are of concern for the kids safety and anger at idle/can’t be arsed parents.

I think cougar has this spot on. There is a park at the back of the houses, probably 30 seconds walk. Loads of space to play. Not arsed about the kids playing, but the estate layout hasnow changed, the road is now a through road and very busy. The kids have zero road sense and are left unsupervised.

Was a cul de sac. Now a busy through road. I don’t have an issue with the kids playing out, but if one of them steps out into the road and a driver can’t avoid them, imagine the impact on the family of the child, and that of the driver who has to deal with knocking a kid over. Its the lack of parental supervision that is annoying me.
