Our local toyota dealer was hit 2 weeks ago. 5 x hilux gone, safe etc. loads of tools gone. They found one of the hilux close to the Liverpool Tunnel.

Yes, we used to run the Cffylliog Challenge up in the woods until a few years ago. (NWMBA). From what i can remember the trails suffered in the wet, but there is some good stuff in there.

My A3 1.8t has the same engine. Good engine, chain driven (so no timing/cam belt), but need to have regular services. So a good history would be ideal. I have had no issues, and local servicing is cheap. No experience with a quattro tho, mine is regular fwd. i think the mk1 TT is a future classic.

Another to consider is the BMW 3 series compact. My neighbour has an 02 reg one, mint condition. Not sure what engine but he loves it.

2k gets you a (good) mk1 TT. If you get the right car, thats a bargain.

@ breninbeener, i have a similar issue buddy. I run a 26 ht kinesis, 100mm rebas 1×10 etc, after a recent visit to coedy i was the only one on a HT, all the others were on 140mm plus FS. I was ok in some parts, the rolling/flowy singletrack where i was just as quick, but anything technical I was slower on. Probably most of that is down to my skill, but i was certainly more “cautious” on the rocky drop offs on the beast.

I have a lovely FS which was in bits at the time, so in the newyear i will probably look at getting a Soul 26 and sticking some 120-140 forks on it

A few years ago when at college I worked in a local pub, just doing friday/ Saturday nights and Sunday lunch. I arrived one sunday morning to get ready for lunch when I noticed an unusual amount of police at the place. I spoke to a cop stood on thedoor and asked what was going on, he asked who i was etc, he said “we are going to need to speak to you”
“oh, why” was my reply, the cop said “we have arrested the pub landlord and his wife as they were running a brothel upstairs!” so didn’t go back and my dad (who used to drink there) was asked a LOT of questions when my mum found out what had been going on. Funny thing was none of the bar staff knew a thing! (honest) :D

We use insignias in work, 1.8 petrols are utter utter cra#. The diesels are quite good but:-
1. Seats are bloody uncomfortable
2. The lights are pi## poor
