Do you start a thread regarding delivery for every single little thing you order saying their service is exemplary?
    Probably not.
This is the point I’m making. Their service should be amazing 100 percent of the time. In my case the times I ordered from one one things went wrong – wrong items, stuff not turning up etc.Contacting via email got no reply and the phone used to ring and ring with no answer.

That’s great Iolo. But if I see a thread that I don’t want to comment on then I won’t, nor would I put an arsey sarcastic comment on it like you did.
Sometimes its nice on here when people post positive things about companys instead of complaining about poor service. I see lots of posts about folks experiences in general.

We have stopped at this place a few times, run by lovely people, very much a home from home and close enough to walk into town but away from the noise.
Loads to do in Morzine for non-cyclists. Large pool in town, walks along the river and the other towns are all close enough to visit.
When we have visited the last few times for the Passportes the weather at the end of June has been rubbish. August/end of July is much better.
We did the drive from the Euro tunnel in 10hrs, but it probably can be done quicker.

My point is when you order something you normally get told when it turns up.
When it turns up at that time nobody normally starts a thread about it.
Should something go wrong with your forks (I hope not), I wish you the best of luck in a) actually speaking to customer services and b)Getting them to actually do something about the problem.

Right, so when folk complain on here that OO didn’t do this or that it’s ok for them to start a thread on here.
But when folk get good service it isn’t ok for folk to start a thread.

I apologise to you now. I didn’t realise you are the thread police…

(and at the price I paid for the forks, any issues I will probably send to a specialist to sort, they were cheaper than most 2nd hand units)

I bought a book from amazon. It arrived when they said it would
    Woopi doopi do.

    Your point is???…
Seems in the past OO had lots of issues regarding items/delivery issues and people posted on here. If the service has improved shirly that deserves a mention?

    @cyclelife
, cheers for that I will check

Marvellous and I didn’t realise NWMBA was still in existence. I used to ride with you guys in the 90s.

Hi mate, we don’t do much club riding nowadays which is a shame, but we are still around. We lurk more than enything else. :-)
As a club we try and do an annual Snowdon ride before the ban so if you are around it would be good to meet up.

First car was PKD 572L, a mk1 Ford Escort 1.3in yellow. Cost £300 in 1987 and would be worth a fortune now.
Fastest car was my Subaru Impreza BU 52 ZTV, fast as but managed about 17-21mpg
My current Audi A3 is brilliant.

Life of engine being ….. When that chain expires your engines run out of life.

Anyway some audis are plagued with chain slap on start up when milage gets higher.

Not fussed about engine life really, i will only keep it 3 yrs, but service costs are reduced greatly due to no cambelt on the service schedule.

    Chains dont mean no maintainance.

    Chains do have change intervals

Chains are more expensive to change

Fools folly to buy a 140k miles old chain driven engine and think its good for life cause its a chain

Chain slap is awesome. On a chain drive engine.

It’s funny, because I thought exactly that when I bought the car from Cheshire Oaks Audi. I asked what the service interval was (2010 1.8tfsi) on the chain.Their reply was that there isn’t one. The chain lasts the life of the engine.
