Mk1 Ford Escort 1.3l. It had a metal steering wheel that got really really hot in the sun 😯

When that died I bought a Hillman Imp California. 🙂

The Voodoo range at Halfords have always had good reviews. Maybe worth a look at if you have one local. You may even get some bits (Helmet, lock etc) thrown in if you haggle. 🙂

Does it have to be new? Some great s/h bargains on the forum classifieds and ebay.

If new try Pauls Cycles. They stock lots of last years models etc..

In work yesterday, I offered to make the brews (yes, a rare occasion). 2 x coffees 1 x tea. So no need for a teapot, just throw a bag in the mug…colleague says ” ah, so you are making a tramps brew” !!! Brilliant!! 😀

Hi buddy. Welcome to the forum. The frame is ok, not too bad, but its a freebee…;)
You may struggle to get forks, I am guessing the frame is a straight steerer, so your options may be limited.
Best pace to look for parts is the forum classifieds and ebay.
If you are on a budget go for deore kit. If the frame is disc ready deore discs are brilliant. Research your contact points (saddle, bars, stem and grips) Charge saddles are very good. As for forks, try and get one with a lock out. That way you can use the bike on the road for some evening rides if the weather gets grim. Look on the used ads for a Reba 100mm and you won’t go far wrong.
Wheels- if you are on a budget try Superstar components for some deals.

A colleague had a similar injury to mine, he was paying into the recuperation centre at the time. He had 2 weeks (paid) up at Harrogate and said it was really good. I joined after my injury and if it flairs up again I will give them a call. The physio sessions are supposed to be A1. 🙂

I thought this last year after a nasty off left me with lower back pain ( had a disc bulge). Pilates and core strengthening sorted me, but every now and then I get a relapse.
I ride a Bfe, and find as long as I stretch after a ride I am usually fine.
@Greatape can you not get up to Harrogate for some physio?

My wife has taken the kids out, I am at home manning the door. Means I can safely eat a few every time kids come round.

Also, where the hell have all these kids been living all year? I thought I knew the neighbour kids but these people either stay indoors all the time or have travelled far and wide in search of free sweets.

This is me/my estate. Swarms of kids, high on sugar….I feel scared….

Dumped our sky package last month. We were paying £80+ for F1 HD etc. We kept sky broadband and phone, plus the sky+ usage, but we only get the free stuff now. We pay £21 per month.
Not missing the stuff we were paying for either.

4 shifts on, 4 off (12hrs). If I had to commute I would end up doing a 15hr day so I stay over between shifts. Not ideal but all that will change next April due to new job/area so I will get to commute from home!!

Sounds iffy. Try calling (thames valley cover High Wycombe?) 101 and ask to be put through to CID. They shouldconfirm the officer works there.
If they left a message stating they were a WPC, these no longer exist in the Policing World of Political correctness. Everyone in CID is a DC/DS etc etc..

I took littlemonkeysfeet (12yrs) to see them in Birmingham 2 weeks ago (Barcleycard Arena)….we were sat sort of at the back but not quite in the stands. The loudest noises were from the screaming kids, not the band. She enjoyed them, and thats all that mattered.

    The memory still burns…. 🙁

Ha. Brilliant! I wasn’t really fussed about her being on the trail, (as it was uphill and i didn’t want to show any weakness by getting off and pushing) it was her foul language and nastyness. I mean there could have been baby robins in the vacinity ffs.
anyway, scared she may have been a middle aged master of kung foo ery I minced off up the trail, muttering. 😀

I would buy Anglesey, turn it into Monkeysfeetland. A place where folk can only vote UKip, drive Audi’s and the only shop would be Greggs.

Holy carp, they sound terrible. We use Shoguns in work, and they are great (but not very fuel efficient). I was looking at 10k used. I think Toyota may be the way forward. Dont think a VW used would be in my price range.
We have a good Mitsu dealers nearby so I may try and get an extended test. Plus I need to make sure the screen prices (10k 2011) include VAT.
Cheers for the honest replys guys. Appreciate it. 🙂

Wider access may not be needed. This is why the group has been set up.
At present representation is being made by most user groups of Welsh trails, however up until recently the MTB community did not have a voice.
How would we all feel if the consultation process went through without the MTB community being represented?
By having the Open MTB group we have a voice that can put forward our (The MTB Community) views. By signing up you are adding your voice to that group. You may not agree, but if so please say so, that is why the group was set up.
With the likes of Snowdon, user groups have been in consultaion with all parties (for many years)to continue to allow us to use the natural trails in that area. If we did not have these discussions and MTB representation then our access could have been severly reduced over the years…trust me on that, I know the work that has gone in to allow our continued use .
