The office staff are probably away until New Year. If they have been in over the festive period they were probably too drunk to care/operate computer etc 🙂

Is it man jewellery? (the equivalent of having your bank statement stapled to your wrist).

The male equivilent of the Vagazzle?

Loss of signal in most of our home town and at home. At work the signal goes back up to 4g, so don’t think its the ‘phone.

I should be on nights tonight, however I can’t get onto Anglesey. A55 is submerged after J15 -11. Bonkers weather. 😯

I used to work for Bank of Scotland in Chester many many years ago. There were only 3 guys in the office, the rest were women. Our Xmas do’s were nuts. The last one I went on ended up with 1 girl and her boyfriend being taken to A &E after overdosing on speed, one of the lads I worked with ended up in a hotel room with one girl he pulled and disappeared for 2 days. His girlfriend/partner was at first worried then went completely bursar on him. 😯
I had a long term girlfriend at the time so I was quite well behaved, just got hammered and spent most of the night requesting the DJ to play Ska all night.

Our Xmas do’s nowadays are crap in comparison…

Hi Rusty. I had really bad sciatica last year after an off on the bike. I was diagnosed with a disc bulge in the lower back. After physio and shed loads of ibuprofen I followed this workout on you tube

Ater a few weeks the pain relief was amazing. Maybe worth a try?

If the night carries on this like this, I’ll go up to bed and MrsMC will be dressed as the slave girl Princess Leia in The Empire Strikes Back….

Or she will be dressed as Jabba and you will be dressed as Leia the Slave Girl..whilst Boba Fett in the corner strokes his weapon 😀

    Sounds like a better night??

2 weeks ago we were at a Christening. As a result there were at least 30 various “weapons of cold distribution” running around and spreading disease.

Not me. On my second ’bout of Cold this month. 🙁
I know I should MTFU but I genuinely feel like carp. Looks like copious amounts of single malt is the only cure…best get on with it. 😀

My in-laws are great. Treated me more like a son than my parents ever did.
Took the MIL Xmas shopping yesterday for all the xmas food, she will cook on Xmas day for all of us. Really looking forward to it.
The FIL is a good old boy who has great stories. He is a retired headmaster who did his national service with Naval Intel as he could speak fluent russian (Cold War era). A real gentleman. 😀

I had a 52 plate WRX, modified etc..the wife hated it as it was so noisey due to the mad exhaust.
For that reason alone I kept it. 😀

Never managed much more than 21mpg, but it was a brilliant car. I knew a good non franchise garage that did my repairs/servicing which kept bills down (cambelts were expensive) but eventaully sold it due to fuel.

Kinesis. I had the Decade Virsa which was a stunning bike. You can run 26 or 650 and builds into a really lovely bike. I ran mine with Alfine and 1 x 10 with a set of Reba 120mm up front.

Only sold it as I bought a BFE.

    5. Dig a huge trench, fit razor wire and walk up and down it every half hour whilst scowling menacingly and mumbling about the east/west divide.

Michael,in 2 hours you will have no problems with the Red/Black.
Start off on the red and follow the route. After a while the Black peels off. Follow the black sections and re-join the red towards the end.
Finish off with a brew and a Bap/Breakfast. It will be ace 😀

edit- there is nothing that is really silly, as long as you take it easy and don’t go daft.

Cheers Gents. We have seen a house in Mealsgate and is on our list to view. 😀

As we will be close to the coast I reckon a Fatbike could be a sensible purchase 😉

Nelson Thom was recommended by a friend from Allonby, as well as the Ofstead reports. We have heard mixed things about Cockermouth School from other parents/friends.

Cheers guys. Tom, Penrith is too far to commute. We love Cockermouth and Keswick, but we are struggling to find a property that suits us/within budget/large enough etc. We would prefer village life and are up in January to scope out the areas etc. Mrs Monkeysfeet mum and dad had a cottage in Thornthwaite for a few years so we know that end of the area very well. Wigton (and surrounding catchment area) seems to offer the best compromise for us all (school/commute/property price)

As a Police Officer I can honestly say the best thing to do next time is hoof them in the slats and then, shout “YOU AINT GONNA TAKE ME ALIVE PIGS”.

This will allow a swifter resolution to the whole thing. HTH.

Been keeping an eye on the floods. We are moving up to Cumbria in April next year. Most of the houses we are looking at are around Wigton and Cockermouth (for the schools). We are up in January to look at some properties.. 😕
Got lots of friends in the areas effected, it truly is crap.
