Funnily enough, I had a conversation with a work colleague over this event in 2015
    https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/photographs-tell-story-floods-wales-10654795

We worked on Anglesey, and were driving back after a night shift. That area of road is unlit, and the national speed limit. We used that stretch of road daily, and it flooded within a matter of hours.
So imagine 5am, travelling at 70 and hitting that. The car lights just didn’t pick up the floodwater.
That was a long morning. My friends Alfa (6months old) was totalled.

Ha ha, don’t like bagels. They always taste a bit stale. The office Gym bunny lives on Rice & Tuna, so wouldn’t want to upset them.
We don’t do leftovers in our house. The 17 yr old dustbin sees to that.

Yup, insurance is a nightmare for youngsters. Our step lad is 17, his dad (don’t ask) bought him an Audi A3 as his first car.
Insurance is £1500 for the year, plus a black box. Putting him as a named driver on our car (Fiesta) whilst he was learning was relatively cheap (think it was an additional £200) but he needs his own insurance to get some no claims.
The black box is a god send tho, we can see on an App his driving which looks at speed, cornering, smoothness and even the times of day he drives it.
We just did a comparison site check for the insurance.

Loving TG, Sunday night trash TV. It is just fun, 3 blokes having a laugh razzing cars around. The RR test was just brilliant, like others here I’m sat there thinking “No Way is that going across that”.
Thought the water crossing might have fried some electrics in the RR tho.

I use a SIGG flask ( think I picked it up for a £5 in Cotswolds a few years back)
Thrown in the camelback or taken on Hikes, its always kept drinks hot

    Hi fgk,
Firstly sending all the best wishes I can to you and the rest of the family.
Mrs MF was diagnosed with breast cancer ( the worst kind!!) in Feb. It’s been a shift few months, but things are looking up after chemo and surgery.
Our oncologist has been superb, and i just can’t fault the amazing NHS.
All I’ll say is try to stay positive, even when it’s crap. Try to look after your own mental and physical health (something I’ve not really done)
If you need to talk or let off steam please message me. I’m more than happy to pass my mobile if you need a chat X Steve.

I had a Mk2 XR2. Loved the car, however only one of the twin choke’s worked when it was cold. So when you got to a junction and it was cold you had to blip the accelerator to keep the engine running.
My GF at the time decided to borrow the car, which then died on one of the busiest motorway junctions. She also didn’t know about the immobiliser and how to re-set it. The car lasted longer than she did.

I recently inherited an old TACX turbo trainer for the winter, so spent a few weeks looking for a cheap road bike to throw on it. I bought a Giant Defy on FB marketplace for £150. cracking little bike. Needed a pair of new tyres (one for the front and one for the turbo)

When the Mrs was diagnosed with cancer we gave up the booze. But I found the low/non alcohol stuff is terrible.
