We are missing a huge point here.F1 is just so dull at the moment, we need more racers like Max. Considering he drove from the back of the grid to 4th shows amazing talent in a so-so car.
Let’s hope RBR can give home something competitive next year.

@jeff,I will answer what I can. Guttering is fine, no issues, surrounding ground is solid concrete and tarmac. As for breathable plaster, I don’t know. The area of damp is behind a kitchen unit (corner), same wall as the radiator, just above the skirting board. The wall is exposed to the elements. A dry stone wall from outside meets the wall where it is damp, not sure if this may be a problem area.

The house is pre 1800 and grade 2 listed. (Used to be a stables but was renovated/converted in 2009) The walls are solid stone with a smooth plaster render. Outside it is a pebble dash type outer painted white.

@cougar, cheers for the article. I have skimmed over it but will give it a good read later. Seems allowing the walls to breathe is key.
Wonder if I can put some sort of ventilation in the wall to allow air to circulate?

Ha cheers guys, I was expecting ” I am damp and so is my wife…”
The property itself is old, 9inch thick walls with little ventilation (no breather bricks). The gutters are fine but the wall that is effected has an external wall on the outside. I think moisture is entering there. Worth getting a damp expert in or not?
Edit. Not sure if there is a cavity, I think the walls are solid.

Tbh I like having a mag to read. ST is by far the best mag out there worth buying. I have been tempted to buy other mags but all you seem to get for your money is a couple of reviews and pages of ads. With ST at least you get great articles. I just hope this continues.

Ok, bit of an update. Spoken to Jnr ( just got home today). The truth has been given by one of the group of girls who admitted to hacking daughters fb account after seeing her password.
School have been fantastic and very supportive, so all is OK. Jnr is happy to hang out with a different group.
Funnily enough, the girl who did the hacking has since received grief from the other girls about what she did (none of this from Jnr)
With regards to self defence we try to get Jnr to avoid confrontation but if absolutely necessary then she can defend herself. She was just taken by surprise.
She is a good kid, and well liked/respected by her teachers so we think she did the right thing by not retaliating.

Cheers Ski. I think she is shocked more than anything. No issues at her old school at all, so a bit of a shock for me too.

Ha. Maybe some self defence is in order. Anyone got a set of bombers.

Just bloody annoyed. She has only been at the school for 6 months. School probably have acted correctly, I don’t want it to escalate to full on bullying. I know girls can be real nasty things at times.

Spoke to head of year who said a group of them confronted daughter who said it wasn’t her and on of them just punched her. Until I get to speak to the teachers that’s all i know.

@legend, we check her social media regularly and it isn’t something she would do. She isn’t that type of kid.

So my daughter getting punched is ok then?

I like it ( Plus the bike club got a mention on the Coed Y Brenin episode) (NWMBA)
I guess with only 30 minutes they can’t fit everything in to one episode about each particular area.
Presenters are good, I remember Doddy from MBUK, he has grown up quite a bit since his early journalistic years.

Cheers guys. Yes I am bricking it. We moved house earlier in the year so I had a filling replaced by my old dentist as I knew I would be placed on a waiting list in the new area. Unfortunately our new dentist hasn’t taken us on yet. The new filling has caused the issues 🙁

I think Verstappen has injected some well needed life/excitement into a dull mundane sport. Long may his antics continue. ( If only to wind up the other drivers)

    Yes. Hundreds of pointless emails.
I am at a point where I hate my job (20yrs + of Policing) more and more officers have left the job, cuts etc. But at my age and with my qualifications I couldn’t get a similar paid job anywhere else.

Some good experiences here, however Mrs MF did her degree in Youth Justice with the OU. Really bad experience, little tutor support and an erratic marking system (she was getting mid 90% in her TMA but in her EMA was only reaching 70%)
Expensive too for the support you receive.
