@Ben, booked box with them for an MTB trip to the Alps, box was a day late so called to ask where it was, ” we will get back to you” never did. Next day (flying out that afternoon) called again. Sorry it’s been sent to an address in Birmingham (I was in North Wales), couldn’t source a cardboard box in time so had to fly out and hire in Morziene. They then called me after the trip to ask where the box was!!!
Mate tried to hire with them but they sent a box with faulty locks so it couldn’t be secured. He just left it and managed to get a box from his LBS.

With Rose you can spec the bike up to whatever you want within your budget. Delivery is “normally” 2-3 weeks.

About 5 yrs ago in Morzine, we had done the PPDS and were on a day of local exploring.
headed out of the ” Goat village” [can’t remember the name] and there were a number of fast road switchbacks back to Morzine. i was going far too fast and ended up losing the front end [mtb tyres and tarmac don’t mix kids!!] ended up on the wrong side of the road on a blind corner. Missed an oncoming car by inches and collapsed in a heap in the undergrowth.
Never been with a Louise though….my nutcase was Julie!!

Mine is like an old computer. Still takes floppys, needs a serious upgrade . Thinks cassettes are great technology, but constantly needs information punching in. 😀 😆

Not spoken to my mum in 20 yrs, found out she died last year… but found my birth dad about 2 yrs ago and despite everything we get on great!!
So a bit of a happy ending…

Just bought one [ex Rose demo for £680!!] Brilliant bike, SRAM force is really good, the wheels are nice and light. The rear brake is under the chainstays but this gives quite an uncluttered look. The seatpost/collar is a nice design too. Mine has the ritchey WCS finishing kit which is good quality/nicely finished.

Central, the trails are ok, waymarked etc. It is not a trail centre but has a half dozen DH routes worth playing on.
You can park at the entrance to the woods too. For a full day out I would spend the morning exploring Setmurthy and then go on to Whinlatter. 🙂
