Ref light, got one ready to send out. (Exposure Spark) and a Lezyne rear light. Not the best but ok for road use.
Gnusmas, should be with you next week buddy. Working 12 HR shifts doesn’t give me much chance to get to the post office.

When I came out of the RAF I needed a cheap runaround. Bought an R reg 99 from a Volvo mechanic for £500. It was yellow and had a beige interior. Reliable as heck, the only issue was the clutch went, this meant removal of the radiator and most of the cooling system.
A dodgy wheel bearing blew the hubcap off the front wheel right across the A55. Brilliant brilliant car. Worth a small fortune now..

Gnusmas, I have an Exposure Spark you can have plus charger and rechargeable batteries. Nice little light and ok for road use.
In my spares box I have some handlebars and a Lezyne rear light if they can be of any use they are yours.
Drop me a message and I can post out if you want them.
    Steve.

This is interesting reading. You need to have an open dialogue with the landowner.
If the land is privately owned what right do the riders have to be there?
I used to help out with NWMBA and I have witnessed some of the discussion around access to Snowdon.
If the landowner is open to MTB’s why not set up an access group.
Be open about what you want but be prepared to compromise.
Communication here is key, that way the landowner and yourselves can avoid conflict.
You may be able to reach an agreement to continue to ride there , or not. But if someone steps up and becomes a point of contact a relationship can be built and something could be salvaged.
Reading what has been said on here, this is the only way forward.
You can’t go building trails on private land and annoying the landowner.

Our old BMW X1 had run flat tyres. Hateful things but we stuck with them as the car was on PCP finance. Apparently you have to inform your insurance if you change to standard tyres as you are technically “modifying” your car. Some folk do and some don’t. Some BMW suspension is set up specifically for run flat tyres too.
If we had kept our BMW we would have got rid of the bloody things. Only had the car 2 months and got a puncture. Run flats can’t be repaired so a new tyre was needed. 👿

I’m on the fence too. I’ve seen a few things that made me wonder, and an ex* had several very strange phenomena in her house. I’m sure there’s a whole load of stuff going on we’re not aware of because we haven’t found ways to interpret signals from it yet.

*although she did come from an ‘interesting’ family.

What gear do you need on a road bike that you can’t fit in a saddle pack and jersey pockets? Genuinely interested.

Hi mate. Up until April I had one of these
    https://www.canyon.com/en-gb/mtb/grand-canyon/grand-canyon-al-slx-9-9-sl.html
Swapped the bits over to a Cotic Solaris Max few months ago.
The Canyon was very racey, lovely kit, wheels etc. But rode like a trail bike if it wanted to. A nice bike, but I wanted a steel hardtail. Like you I used the Canyon for lanes and bridleways. Took it to Whinlatter a fair few times too. It struggled on some of the uphill switchbacks on the North Red. But otherwise was great.
Btw I am in Cockermouth if you ever fancy a ride out 🙂

As I have said before, I work in Cumbria for the emergency services. I attend at least 1 RTC each week involving a motorcyclist. More often than not no other vehicles are involved, just a case of high speed and country roads.
I have found however that motorcycle leathers do hold body parts quite well.
The worst I ever attended was a rider hitting a que of stationary traffic at road works. The rider went through 3 cars. Literally. His family were traveling in a car following. It was not a pleasant experience.

Whatever you ride/drive always do it safely. Please.

My road bike has flat pedals.
I wear my MTB clothing when on the road bike ‘cos I don’t have any Lycra. I also use a rucksack.
I am comfy and can carry all my gear. Including a MTB helmet.
DGAS what folk think of me as long as I am happy.

The greatest, most fantastic person who was famous that I knew was this guy
    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ian_Moir_(footballer)
Ian was a fireman at BNFL Capenhurst in Cheshire.(as a footballer in the 60s he didn’t earn much) His stories were superb, a true gentleman and lovely man.
His best story was the one about his time at Manchester United. Ian was sold and a new forward was brought in to replace him. That forward was George Best.

I used to deliver newspapers to Hilda Ogden’s house in Southport.
Kissed Lisa Stanfield in a Nightclub in Nottingham before she was famous.
Keith Harris (of Orville &Cuddles) is a family friend and thoroughly lovely chap.
When I was in the RAF I have met various members of the Royal Family. Best was the Queen Mum.
Had a Pint with Neil Ruddock in the Grapes Pub in Formby when he played for LFC. He was arseholed.
At a night out in Liverpool my mate Barry punched this guy in the chops

Anglesey has some lovely beaches. Off the A55 turn off towards Beaumaris. Visit the castle, spend an afternoon at one of the beaches a bit further on the island [Benllech is nice]
Further up towards the north on the A55, Colwyn bay Mountain Zoo is fab. Great little Zoo, Conwy Castle is worth a visit if you are in the area too.

Did this a few years ago. Bought an S60 Volvo from a dealer in Oldham (I was in North Wales) emailed pics of my PX and agreed a deal. Painless. Bought from a main dealer though.

I really like the bike. But I have a bit of a soft spot for hardcore hardtails.
However, at that price point quality is everything. Quality product, service and support. I really really hope Trillion do well and get off the ground. A few more years/products and they may well be in a position to compete with the established names.
As that is where the competition is, Shand, Cotic, Stanton etc.
    Choice is good.
Best of luck to the guys.
But I have to agree, that welding isn’t selling the product.
