As has been said not much on the Wirral. Used to ride out from Williston on the Wirral way but it’s more suited to a gravel bike.
Southport/ Formby I know a few Fatbike riders who ride that way linking the beaches and pinewoods.
Look at http://www.flattyres.co.uk. Colin has loads of routes in and around the North West, North Wales.
I used to live in Eastham and Mold and rode the Clwyds mostly.

I used to have the magic P but even as a subscriber the site was slow and difficult to use on my tablet (Chrome user) after my subscription ran out the site is still just as slow but with the odd ad and umpteen privacy acceptance requests each day. It’s a bit crap tbh…

My daughter is 18 today. Looking back through some baby/holiday snaps last night. Seems not long ago she could be picked up and cuddled and she wanted to hold my hand everywhere she went. Now I’m just the taxi service.

I use a lot of hire cars through work. recently driven the Kia Sportage and the Hyundai Tucson. They are both similar quality inside, however the Kia was a much better car to drive. less wallowy suspension, just a much nicer car.
My last car was a pre registered Honda Civic (when the last model changed over) Local dealer was selling off a load of brand new cars that had been registered to the dealer. So I bought a new but used car. Same 3 yr warranty etc but saved about 30%

My ongoing divorce has been terrible. The person I thought I knew and loved for nearly 22 years has done and said some terrible things. I have sat and questioned my own behaviour. You have good days, and bad days. It effects people in different ways each set of circumstances is different.
But as DrP has said, talking about things helps. At those low points where you are trying to juggle kid, house, money, solicitors, life etc having somewhere like here to talk helps massively. So, from me to you all…thanks. And to DrP..it will get better.

Hi DrP, feel your pain mate. My ex is a horrible, horrible person. I am fortunate to have my daughter living with me permanently. We moved house 2 weeks ago after the sale of the family home. I was away at a wedding that weekend so it gave the ex plenty of time to move her stuff out and spend some time with the daughter. She wasn’t going to see the daughter again until Xmas.
So, I call the daughter Sat morning to see how things were going to be told the ex had already gone at 10am, didn’t say goodbye to her or even want to spend the day with her.
It’s just nuts. Her behaviour became very irrational and strange, and it’s still on going as we haven’t sorted the finances out yet.

    Police use of force

Woodster, headbutts are acceptable, closest weapon, closest target. Trust me it’s taught. We train in PST and SPEAR, an American self defence system. Google it.
To the MOP our officers actions can look harsh especially given something such as a pre-emptive strike, but as long as you can justify your actions, and I have many many times, it’s fine.

Taser is a less lethal option. Not a conventional firearm. So how did the subject die? Unless there were underlying health issues that the officers didn’t know about or if there were issues with the subjects aftercare then the use/ deployment of the taser is a non issue here.

It’s gone beyond that point. Even if acquitted, he’ll likely be sacked. Differing burdens of proof for criminal vs civil (disciplinary in his case) cases.

    Nah, that’s crap

Think about how many AFO’s (Firearms officers) have had to go to court over the years, for simply doing their job. There are loads of factors to consider, but as I have said the decision to pull the trigger (in this case a taser) lies with the individual officer.

Depends on a few things, the initial briefing, intel etc. However the decision to use force remains with the individual officer. And that officer will have to justify why taser was deployed and any follow up actions.
Think back to the Jean Charles Demezez shooting in London. Officers had to go to court and justify their actions. Same here but with Taser not conventional weapons.

For him to be charged with murder there must be pretty strong evidence given how rarely police are prosecuted.

Not at all. Cops are quite often prosecuted.
This will be part of an investigation and isn’t that unusual. It’s only a headline because if the victim being an ex footballer. As long as the officer used reasonable force and can justify that then the officer will be ok.
However, to have this case hanging over them for so long, having to go to court to justify their actions made in a split second is really really shit.

Have a browse in the Polaris site, you might stumble across something suitable. I saw some Gore Running jackets in TKMaxx a few weeks ago, very cheap. May be worth a look in a local one to see if they have anything.

The Consent Order forms are available online via the Yougov website. Worth looking at so you know what information you will need.

We use a shotgun and lead slug. The AFO will often take vet advice but usually its just a single shot into the head.
    Standard ammo (9mm/5.56) isn’t suitable.

Oh, just to add, the ex went to a Solicitor with a huge office, really nice rooms, big website, looks really posh etc… I went to a local Family Solicitor who was recommended by a friend. So far its cost me £150.00. Its cost her nearly £1000.00 and we are still at the same stage :) :)
Still, I am sure she will be very happy…

MTT, Hi mate. Going through a divorce at present. (see my Divorce thread) :)
Ok, ours started off amicable but went south really quickly. You can do the Decree NiSi yourself.
We have a house/Pensions etc so I went to a local Solicitors who are sorting out the Financial Consent Order. This needs doing by a Solicitors as finances can be quite complex, our isn’t, but still needs doing by a Solicitor. This is to prevent the ex having any financial claim in the future.
Just had an offer on the house, so touch wood that will go through ok.
If you need to talk, or need any other info drop me a PM. happy to share my experience.
