That’s shit news. I worked at Wylfa until it shut down. The area was struggling and Wylfa provided a massive amount of jobs, not only from the site but also the local economy. B and B for contractors, local shops and bus and taxi firms.
The locals were all for a new reactor. That is really crap news.

Ribble Cycles would be my choice. They have some nice Steel (Endurance725) in your budget (Reynolds tubing) or Carbon R872.

Meh, the Uk along with most of other global economy’s are going to suffer. A pay freeze was to be expected. No Cash, but there you go. It is what it is.
Maybe the unions/staff organisations should look at an increase in Annual leave instead of pay?

I think I would have loved to have owned a Klein. Some of the paint was just amazing.
    Gary Fisher
    Specialized Rockhopper
    Muddy Fox Courier
Cannondale with a Lefty or Headshock. I was fortunate to once own an F400 in that Blue. It was lovely.
But Cannondale can stick their Coda Disc Brakes up their hoops….

I think Thegreatape says everything from our point of view. Bravo!
Not much more to add except…
A large percentage of the UK Population have no contact with the Police.
When they do its usually because something bad has happened. You don’t call us when everything is hunky dory.
Everything we do nowadays is recorded. Either by ourselves on bodycams or by members of the public.
The media love to hate the Police. It generates headlines.
The small things that help society are very rarely recorded or publicised. But we can live with that.
just something for you all to think about.
I remember as a young PC having many dealings with a family with issues. They created probably 60% of my workload over a number of years. Mostly minor stuff, petty theft, public order etc. I knew most of them by name and they knew me by mine.
Then one night the eldest was killed in in an RTC.
I had to deliver the news.
Despite everything that had happened between us the father took me to one side and thanked me for everything.
We are all human. Behind each uniform is a mum, dad, sister brother, whatever.
There are over 120,000 Police in the UK. Not all of them are saints.

Bike Discount de in Germany for DT Swiss wheels. Loads of stock and good prices. Just ordered a set and they arrived in 5 days even with the restrictions in place. X1700 with 25mm rims non boost will set you back about £460.00 For DT Swiss the prefix in the description will tell you what the wheel is meant for (X is XC, M is All Mountain/Enduro) Most DT swiss wheels are Centre Lock disc brake but do come with adaptors for 6 bolt. DT swiss also come with tubeless valves and are ready to go tubes/tubeless too

I bought a Crush frame from Bikescene in Jan and built it up with some light(ish) parts. I’ve been using it for some local rides during the lockdown and its a great Hardtail. The back end is a bit harsh but not more so than any other alu hardtail. 150mm forks at the front. Fast, agile and just fun to ride. I got the light blue frame and it looks lovely. Ive had some steel hardtails over the years (Cotic/Pace) and yes, the frame material does play a part/steel is more forgiving but I would quite happily do a 3hr ride on the Crush. Running DT Swiss wheels and Maxxis High roller 2.4 tyres.

Good friend of mine works for the CNC Police. They are recruiting and you don’t need any specific qualifications. 8 locations around the UK. Good pay and pension. Not the usual type of Policing.

I have to agree with the OP. I have had a couple of gravel bikes. An Orange RX and a Cannondale Slate with front lefty fork.
It was like the 90s all over again. Skinny tyres, odd head angles, narrow (drop) bars. Gravel bikes are just a rubbish off road. A better option is a rigid 29er. If I wanted skinny tyres and drop bars I’d buy a road bike thanks.

I was based at RAF Valley 93-95. RAF fast Jet school = many crashes. The first, I was just about to cross the Rhosnieger end of the runway when I saw two parachutes coming down. Thought “ooo, were we expecting a display today”. Then I noticed the burning Hawk on the runway. The pilot plus the student had both ejected on the runway after the gear collapsed.
I think there was a crash nearly every week, esp at RAF Mona when they get the landing wrong.

Not sure if you can see the image. Also it doesn’t have all the Mudmaster functions you would expect.
Just a bit odd that they would send a different watch that is potentially a fake?

On the face of it, the watch looks like the top Mudmaster. I’ve got pics on my phone but not sure how to put on here.

Really? I would have thought as the watch was listed without packaging they would have known to check. Still, Casio UK seemed concerned.

he Po Po are absolutist by their very nature and have to be. You can’t be discussing the merits of CROW legislation with pikey scumbags turning a village green into a landfill for example.
It’s the fault of their seniors and pay masters for not taking the temperature of government properly. They deserve all the bad press they are getting at the moment for acting entirely outside their remit.
That retired supreme court Judge is right, if the polic do what they want instead of acting as an instrument of the law, that is moving towards a police state.

Not at all. we have an amazing thing called discretion. For example, if I were to arrest every single potential Rapper who swore at me (under the Public Order Act) I would be a very busy chappie indeed.
Its not Pikey -Its Travelling Community. That’s not nice
If we acted outside of our remit we could be investigated by the IOPC or our Professional Standards. So we don’t.

Just to give you some perspective of the types of folk I have been dealing with recently – ( I am sure my fellow cops will agree)
We don’t deal with the great british public, normally.
We deal with people who call the cops because they have had an argument over the TV remote
we deal with people who call 999 because Maccy D’s is shut
We deal with people who leave a toddler in charge of a baby whilst they go out shopping
We deal with people who go out every 5 minutes because cigarettes are essentials
We deal with the two drug dealers stopped out and about delivering their stash
We deal with the local feral youths who still think hanging around in gangs of 6 or 7 is still ok.
We deal with the two youths who are carrying knives in the above group.
If the public break the (lockdown)rules they will be dealt with, usually with a warning or a ticket.
If the local drug dealer/crime lord/pickpocket/thief whatever wont accept the social distancing rules/lockdown rules- because lets face it- they are such law abiding citizens. then they will be arrested. simples.
    Police state. Nope
Martial Law. Wont happen. Unless the poop has really really hit the fan.
Rules to keep everyone safe. Oh yes.

As a cop if I may offer a point of view.
For a fair number of law abiding folk, this is the first time they have had contact with the Police.
Normal law abiding folk have been told “nope, you can’t do that, its very very naughty…”
So poor old Mrs Miggins goes out and gets stopped by the fuzz. She gets questioned by a very stern officer and told to only get the essentials.
Mrs Miggins feels upset as she feels she has done nothing wrong, and feels upset that the nasty brute of an officer had spoken to her sternly. Oh dear!!! She gets home and writes a letter to the Daily Mail!!
Normal law abiding folk don’t like being told what to do or how to behave.
What has happened is unprecedented, and the world has had to respond to an unusual and challenging situation.
Unfortunately, the normal law abiding folk didn’t think they would be effected and tried to carry on as normal.
Unfortunately they couldn’t, so the nasty stern Police Officers had to stop them going about their normal daily lives for a few weeks.
The Police had to do it, because imagine what would happen if the military did it, thus allowing the Police to continue to deal with all the normal rubbish we have to deal with. (although Friday nights have never been so Quiet!!)
So give us a bit of credit for going out there, without any PPE and continuing to deal with the drug dealers, criminals and Mrs Miggins of the world, whilst each night coming home and wondering if the gobsh~~ who spat on me might just have passed something nasty over before I went home.

There were a number of on-one fatty frames that had manufacturing issues. Sounds like you may have bought one.
As above boost chainset is the best option. If not you may have to return the frame.
If you go on the UK Fatbike Facebook page you may find more answers there.

    On One reject frames.
