My Mary bars are flipped on my Pomp. I think I may try them the correct way round though as I can’t quite make my mind up whether I like it or not :)

Allonby is probably the best in the area and it run for several miles towards Silloth. Fantastic views over the Solway Firth.

+1 We stopped in Allonby over New Year, beach in the early morn and then the lakes for the rest of the day bliss :)

Put it this way, if it was a black or muslim group that had been holding a conference outside parliament, would it have been acceptable for the BNP to turn up and attack them. Of course not, so why is it acceptable for the reverse to happen.
Fight the BNP, campaign against them, stand as a politician, form your own politcal party etc, but don’t attack people in the street because you don’t agree with them.

My God he speaketh total sense!!!!! Groups like UAF are no better in my opinion (dons flame suit) They seem to oppress anyone who doesnt agree with them.

Found their tech support to be staffed by chimps. We had an issue with our broadband with we couldn’t get connected. It was blatently a line problem (turned out to be an rf filter in the master socket), after 8 weeks and god knows how many phone calls I got farked off with their script of have you turned it off and on again etc etc….. I switched to zen (who at the time where only a smidge more pricey) and et voila I got a knowledgeable person and a bt engineer sent round to rectify the fault it took a few days. Best thing is plusnet still expected me to pay for my lack of broadband service and wouldn’t release me from contract even though they couldn’t provide a service (they are responsible to report to BT wholesale for faults) 1 letter to trading standards later…..1 MAC to migrate with!

Well I am about to call the social services. You clearly display all symptoms of being a bad parent. Feeding a child pizza?! How could you!!! I for one am totally appaled and would have you stoned.

If you can do a hope/USE beating product and not be ridiculous on price then I hope the good denizens of STW will support you.

I would be one of the interested.

A bit of respect & understanding for customers would go a long way rather than the often cliquey – club like – attitude

My lbs feels a bit like this. I wouldn’t mind but I bought the bike from them and have taken it back to them for some repairs. When I took my bike in on Fri to get the rear brake sorted as it was weeping, they noticed it was missing a spring retainer clip. When I said I was told it was ok to run it like that the guy laughed?? I wouldn’t mind it was that shop I rang up and asked to see if it would be ok and they said it would be  I dont think I will be going back there!

I have a superstar carbon post (bargain from the classifieds) on my Genesis io and I have had no probs with it slipping. It is way more comfortable than the original post and I want another one for when I get my Pompino.

It is most infuriating how this brave regiment have been treated. Maybe they should have gone to Calais smuggled themselves onto a lorry and claimed asylum! The UK would be their oyster then  This country is screwed up beyond belief.

I went from a Kona with a SS conversion to a Genesis io and I blimmin love it!!! My Hookooekoo has hardly been used since it came along lol. 32 on the front is normal, I run 32:16 and find it more than capable on the trails. Climbing is a lot harder but it will really improve your fitness. I amused some full suss Santa Cruz folk when I cam scooting past them all fully rigid and pedalling like a loon lol(I am by no means and nowhere near a cycling God by the way!!)

Wow this thread is a God send! We are expecting our first baby in July :) We have been going round in circles with what pram to get. I think the out n about nipper looks great value and gets good reviews, I can’t believe we have never come across them before. We could get that for outdoorsy stuff and a lightweight McClaren type one for the shops jobs a good ‘un.

I tried FS albeit many years ago and I prefer the ride of a hardtail. You generally do have to think a lot more riding them. They can be quicker than fs in isome circumstances eg I beat my missus uncle on a run down as there was stuff could roll over fast that his suspension slowed him down on absorbing. At the end of the day it’s personal preference. I love riding a fully rigid singlespeed off road as well as my geared front susser, but that’s hell to some folk.
