Also you should not be inconvenienced. Do not accept a repair demand a new one. I fell over on this the other month with a pram, I foolishly accepted a repair and boy did I regret it!!! I should have argued for a replacement which was my right.

You moron. It's evolution of a sport – how do you think mountain biking in general started? Some guys took their bikes off road, adapted them to work better and then the manufacturers started to make bikes that were more suited to it. It's just the same thing again, people are riding different stuff in different ways and then bikes come out that suit their needs. No-one's 'making up a niche'. How the f#ck would you do that anyway?

Blimming 'eck someone got out of bed on the wrong side this morning! It's Friday, it's a bit of lighthearted banter, get over it! Anyway I am way in a niche as I ride with a toaster strapped to my bars, I totally ride xxxxxc toastcore dude!

You mean you wanted to take the p*** out of it?

Don't know what you are on about  The whole lets make up another niche amuses me somewhat. And @ Cookeaa fpmsl. I respect the tricks that they do, but that's what I thought "freeride, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxc, gnarlcore" or whatever was for??

OT time the A57 has indeed changed through Sheffield I went across snake pass last week and was shocked at how much the roads have changed, you do indeed skirt around the Sheffield centre now.

Raceblades would cause the same issues :( I don't have much clearance between my tyre and the bottom of my carradice bag. Having a guard between the stays will stop all the crap getting flung up.

Asking the question after buying lol I like it. I have owned my io for over a year now and it's brilliant real no nonsense riding. As for the weight????? Are you mad? It's not heavy at all. I noticed no massive weight saving through using a carbon post and forks as for changing the BB mine has been no problems at all. Just ride it and love it :D

They'd be better off scrapping the cycle scheme!

To be honest the cycle scheme is a con. I know of numerous folk on with ctw bikes that work at least a 45minute car journey away! So they get their shiny 'spensive weekend bike for buttons :( (Ok I am jealous  )

Brilliant I was looking forward to these next year for our ickle one so my missus could go back to work. Childcare is 'kin ridiculously 'spensive.

I wear one but purely for off bike use. It is quite water resistant and the water beads up on it. If you used it to cycle in you will die as it's 'kin warm.

Well the short span of cycle path I canuse on my way to work is awful. It's v narrow, is a shared with pedestrians (usually ones with more than one dog) and has junctions every couple of 100meters thus making it a bloody pain in the ass to get anywhere! I will stick to the road ta :)
