They are meant to be quite a good road bike. I considered one of those and the Giant Defy & SCR until I decided I wanted to punish myself with a fixie :D.

Congrats :) Ethan (our first) is just over 7 months old and he is a star. It's amazing how much joy the little munchkins bring you. The sleep deprivation doesn't last that long, lets be honest it's a small part of a huge adventure :)
    Enjoy!

 My Mrs uncle came a cropper there when we rode the back 'o skiddaw. He also embarrassed himself by going over the handlebars by getting his wheel stuck in a rut just after Skiddaw house, whilst some bloke (who was bit arsey) was telling him he was on a footpath. I fell off laughing.

They should be quite pain free with a bleed kit as they are mineral oil so no nasty dot fluid to kill stuff.

One of these I guess http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=663

    and then this http://www.parktool.com/repair/readhowto.asp?id=126

    Hope this helps :)

What brakes? I have just done my Magura Julie HPs after changing the hoses on them.
It was quite easy to do with the kit and I have never bled a brake before. So if a ham fisted idiot like me can do it anyone can :)

Am not convinced any tyre is better than any other, most folk recommend different stuff.

They are two seperate databases, one with your personal details on and one with your medical details on. Only certain individuals will have access to both i.e your gp. I am personally not that bothered as it means less hassle if I get ill away from home.

If I wink at you in a cheeky way and feed a homeless person, can I have a bottle? :D I am replacing my hoses and I am not sure if I have enough.

47 mins is easily doable. I did last years Manc 10K in 49mins that was having to slow to a snails pace for a part of it due to my stomach cramping up (drinking an isotonic drink beforehand was an idotic move on my half) I am no racing snake by any means

Sounds like a good way to put here off mountain biking completely! If I took the gears away from my wife's bike she'd never ever use it.

She moans about the gears lol. Take them away tada no gear moaning  WOuld probably get it's too har moaning instead! I guess 1×9 may be a better compromise!
