I like the NWD stuff and follow me was quite cool, but Life cycles sent me to sleep.

@velomatic is it the 3 finger ones or the full finger ones you use???
They look ideal for my road commute when I get back to gloomy blighty.

Planet X Model B. I love mine light, cheap and reliable. I ride on some horrendous road surfaces and they’ve been great (I weigh 69Kg so that may help a bit).

I don’t mind Sherwood. I do think it gets a hard time. It’s by no means as epic as other trail centres, but it does the job. There’s hardly anything in the way of elevation in that there part of the world. The trails provide a smile and a great blast. It’s most fun on a HT single speed, although a FS is fun there too IMHO.
    Awaits the haters 😀

unless you ride near large mirrors all day, looks realy dont count for much. Its how it feels to ride that counts.

So true. This has nothing to do with Konas though. I had a Lavadome which I loved but sold. Had a Kahuna and by god that was awful!!

I’m so jealous!! I am in the desert so I am missing out on such luxuries 🙁 Dave Clarke is my favourite DJ. I miss getting my funk on at Bugged Out.

Sounds familiar 😆 My eldest turned 3 at the beginning of Aug. About 5-6 months previous to this is when the terrible 2s kicked in. There are times I have to stifle my amusment though. I am out of area until Dec so hopefully it will have passed when I get home 😀 😉

I did my first one last year and it made my 3 month old bike look like it was 12 years old by the end 😆
I went through 4 sets of pads (ended up riding the final bits brakeless) I got cut at the 78 mile point. Had to visit the ambulance dudes to rinse my eyes out as I they were full of mud (glasses were useless).
    I Bloody loved it!!!!!

I like iPads and idevices (Own an iphone) but my playbook’s screen pees over the iPad 2 as does its sound plus I paid £80 for it :D. Also wireless syncing via samba rather than pratting about with itunes is a winner too 😀 (I use linux, so idevices are a pain)

You know you can get such things installed for free quite easy on the playbook 😉

Did you get the 2010 one? I am after an all in one solution for my road bike, as my onethelight is great for MTB; but the fact I have to keep unhooking the cable everytime I commute annoys me.

I have put the BETD strong bush in my Trance and it is a lot chunkier and also looks like it won’t fail as quick as the original one.
The original ones are made of cheese.

Well I enjoyed it. Not as good as the Dark Knight, but to be fair that was a tough one to follow IMHO. First time in a long while i have left the cinema fully entertained.

I hope they are not insured with Swiftcover! My mate got knocked off last Nov and his bike was written off. He is still waiting for a pay out!

I got some of those 355s on XT hubs from merlin. They are reasonable and have took a pounding on my Trance X.

Charlies kit is good. I used it when I first converted. On my io I run 32:16 and I came 8th solo at Mayhem 😀

I have a 2011 Cayo and don’t have a drama with the saddle but that’s me. Saddles are a personal thing. I put some model b wheels and have conti GP tyres on and it’s chuffing light.
I did 125 miles on it yesterday and it never missed a beat. For the cash I think they’re ace.

I have the cayo and I am chuckling at the not suitable for a sportive remark. Its stiff in a good way (fnar fnar) I’ve done races, sprotives and multiple 140+miles days on mine with no dramas. But it’s all down to personal preference.

Well mayhem was my first ever 24hour race let alone solo. I came 8th and did it on the singlespeed which was meant to be my backup bike, hence not being in the SS category.
My training regime was lots of road riding. I commute 32 miles a day one of those commute days I would do an extra 40 or so miles. At the weekends I would go out for a 60 miler.
Nutrition I had a bottle of 4:1 and a gel per lap then stopped to throw some food in me at the end of each one.
Mental focus comes into it at lap 8 I was ready to quit, but I had a word with myself and did another lap.
    Just do it it’s fun!!!!

That was epic!!! (not long woke up as I only got home after midnight) was solo on my singlespeed and managed 9 laps. Cheers to all the supporters you lifted my spirits and cheers to the ninja turtle who gave me Bacardi at about 8 in the morning lol.
