Just sold my io SS,I loved it. Gutted to sell it but a clown bike was needed.
Get one they are a hoot.

The el mar’s rear drop out is a thing of genius.
No faffing to get your wheel out. I really likes them (hence why I bought one).
Plus it handles amazingly. All this 29ers are cumbersome etc is something I never noticed.

I love my el mariachi. I haven’t stripped the gears off yet but I looking forward to gear free shenanigans.

The bike park is dry and is good fun; I even got airborne on my el mariachi 😀

Wankerley woods is somewhere I don’t intend to revisit. I can’t imagine it being good in the dry. At least pines has some length to it.

Was there yesterday it’s all rideable. Unlike a shonky wood near Rutland water!!!

Looks nice that. Went on my 29er for the 1st time yesterday. I now believe the hype. It rode fast and handled like a bmx. Slow turning my arris.

Was meant to be riding the Peak (stannage area) on Thurs. Our trip has been cancelled 🙁 Was looking forward to trying my El Mariachi out there.

My plan would be setup the laptop with some visual stimulation 😀 I also have a spare LCD TV I could utilise.

There’s reasons 29ers they look the nuts for XC.

It’s more a costing question rather than an excuse for new stuff. Will it be cheaper to rebuild or just buy new (ie I could sell my old wheels).

I hate weight training as its dullllllllllllll. I am well into kettle bell circuits. No running and it gets the heart pounding more than normal circuits IMHO.

I am going the clown wheel way as I want an adventure machine. I will still have my 26″ full suss for gnarrrrrrrrrr

Sorry to bump a thread. I keep looking at the El Mariachi but the sizing is doing my nut!!I am just under 5’8″ (31″ inseam) I fit into the small/medium bracket, however with the small I would have oodles of seat post on show. The top tube on the small looks similar in length to that of my 16″ io (I couldn’t find where Genesis take their measuremnts from) but I my gut says it will be too small (can’t get a ride on one). Can anyone who has got one, sells one advise me?? Would the medium be too large??

Is the El Mariachi “that good”??? How does it ride fully rigid?? Is it good as an all day/multi day machine?
