I personally wouldn’t bother unless it was an android auto type Sat Nav i.e. Google maps. “Here” sat nav on the phone is bloody great.

Buy a genuine one, rather than an ebay “OEM spec” one!! The ebay one I bought lasted 5 and a bit months :(

I had to remove 4 screws in total to do mine, unfortunately I had
to drill the screws that hold the cover on out.

OP this isn’t cool at all. Depending on your force will depend on how they treat it. There are laws being broken the communications act 2003 for a start. It depends where the”troll” is located too, as if it’s foreign or hidden by VPN/proxy etc then you are screwed. Just hope Instagram sort it!!

@nickhit3 Thank you for a sensible answer!! I wouldn’t dream of going in guns blazing, as that achieves nothing.
All I want to know is why my son is being sent home 3/4 of a book. We are expected to complete: homework, spellings, reading and other bits and pieces at home for the school’s “stats” (we encourage our children to read, write, draw, investigate etc anyway). So the least they can do is provide us with the correct tools to fulfill said “stats”.

    WOW!!!

The affluent bit was tongue in cheek! I don’t live on the estate the school is on :D

At worst they’ll put you down on the “Pain In The Arse Parent” list and ensure that the photocopies only go to nasty smelly povvo kids in future.

Tsk, povvo kids? We have none of those scruffy rapscallions in our school!!! ;)

The fact that the school has had a huge cash injection, splashed a load of it on sodding iPads, but then can’t be arsed to at least provide a decent copy of a reading book; really is annoying.

I would add that schools are experiencing a massive funding crisis at the moment so going to the school and moaning at the teacher for having 30 kids and only 20 books is going to be unhelpful at best.

I understand there are issues with funding and classroom numbers, but when the school buys iPads instead of books, I do think WTF? If they are going to go down the avenue of printing or copying books, at least give the kids a fighting chance by having the full sentences/paragraphs on the page.

After a quick Google when I got home last night, it turns out I can get the book as a free e-book (Oxford Owls) so I will put that on the Kindle.

Obviously not grammar and punctuation guides.

 It took longer than I expected :D

What’s the point in all of the kids carrying big heavy textbooks home, if they only need a couple of pages?

It’s a full book  Really badly copied.

    Ask the copyright holders?

Funny old thing that was my 1st thought

The only time I photocopy would be the odd page for a comprehension type activity and then make sure it’s copied properly.

And that is perfectly reasonable :)

    Where are those bombers?!?!

The sooner the politicians in this country grow some balls and legislate to have religion taught in a balanced way in all schools and outlaw any school having religious links the better for all of society in my opinion.

Religion should be a private matter for families to practice in their own time, if they choose to.

    A big +1

Have you considered the Superb in 1.4tsi ‘guise? I’m not sure if there are many estates with that engine, but I have the twindoor and it’s very spacious in the back (And boot) and I get around 50MPG on a good motorway run or 43MPG on my normal work commute.

As someone on meds and ended up there due to too many years of MTFU, just be as supportive as you can. I’m on the up because “I” want to do it plus getting my meds right (it took a few attempts to find something that agreed with me) and support.
You truly are a good friend if you can lend an ear, as at times that’s all I wanted. I can appreciate it must be really difficult for you to deal with, as when the black dog kicks in you do isolate yourself (I know I did).
He probably needs his meds adjusting or to see someone more experienced than a GP (I am not using the NHS so I can’t comment on how they deal with it).
Good on you for showing concern, so many people think because you suffer from this you should have a cow bell around your neck so you can be avoided.

There’s been grumbling on the pebble subreddit. I love my OG Pebble and I am gutted they have gone pop. To me they offered a great package in a smartwatch. I hope they release the software for their servers into the wild, as there is a dev base that wants to keep it alive.

I had an Egg loan and credit card in the late 90s. Hmmm, I wonder if it’s worth a punt??

As I am now officially out of the price bracket of ME, Rab, NF, etc and I find Decathlon’s sizes a bit odd fitting. I took a punt on a Trespass Igloo down jacket (£49), I have always pulled a face at their stuff in the past, but I am impressed. It’s like wearing a sleeping bag, loads of pockets and routing for headphones from the inner pocket (I personally like this), has hand warmer pockets. Overall I think it’s great, especially the warm hood. I previously had a Montane Flux and it was OK, I thought it was really good at first but after a wash or 2 it started to die.
