Altura Varium is rather good IMHO. I use mine on the road and off-road and find it brilliant (I sweat loads). However, I paid something like £50 for mine from Leckies, I would never have paid the full price £100+ as I’m tight.

Why would you put money down on something you’d not seen?? My own experience with car sales. I drove 20 miles each way to see a “mint” Fiesta at a dealers (for the wife). I got there and it had a ‘kin big dent in it and loads of scratches (couldn’t see them in the photos). I called the salesman a **** for wasting my time and drove home.

I have one of those POS routers and my Chromecast worked no bother out of the box. I have no idea what you may have done as the GUI on these routers is awful.

I don’t get the whole the 3 series thing. I think they are OK but not this amazing, über built experience that I keep reading about. My mate had one of the newer diesels and yes it looked nice and I really wanted to like it (as I was considering a car swap), but I was underwhelmed after being in it. Overpriced and overrated IMHO.

The boardman 29er pro is bloody ace. It rides better than my Salsa and handles a treat. Ignore the Halfords haters the bike is good and mine came setup perfectly in fact I haven’t had to do much to it.
