Dude it’s horrible, I lost my Dad 4 years ago today to cancer.

It gets a bit easier if that helps. I don’t think of him with the illness (it was quite short in my Dad’s case). I just think of the good stuff we did together 🙂

One piece of advice which I wish I had taken, don’t try and be everyone’s rock, it’s hard not to; but you need to grieve as well.

I really don’t know what else to say apart from I’m gutted for you mate.

Cheers for the offer Trouty, I’d have to get busy painting one of those and I’m too lazy and inept for that 😆

After a pathetic winter full of being infected 🙁 I started to get “back on it” this week only for a patch of black ice to put that idea out of my head 🙁 I am starting to think someone doesn’t want me to ride my bike 😆

Just to throw another one in. The ridgeback mx16 is a great bike too. Can be picked up very reasonably second hand. My lad loves his.

I don’t know you let armourers loose in the real world and this is what happens! You should stick to bangy things and singing “a-I’m an armourer, b-I’m an armourer, c-I’m an armourer”. You know the words, join on in 😉

Do a load of demos next time mate.

Any genuine emails from PayPal will have your name e.g. ‘David Smith’ either in the header or the first line of the email.

Check out spear phishing. They will have these details.

United Carpets have replaced our carpet………………… Twice!!! We had the carpet fitted in 2012.
Our living/dining area was too large for one roll so needed a join. I had them out 3 times due to the join separating.
The 3rd time, the fitter said the join had been done incorrectly and the carpet had been cut too short.
We got a new carpet fitted and the join went again!!!
As it turns out the carpet we were sold was not suitable for heat seam sealing!! So we had another carpet fitted last Dec and fingers crossed that’s the end of that.

So you should get a new one!!

I’d like an ebike to drag my sorry ass up the mile climb I have straight from my doorstep on the commute. 🙂

I had a go on the Scott one and I laughed like I was a kid again. Would I have one now? No. Would I consider one if they get lighter and use it for a longer commute definitely. They do have a place IMHO.

The one that comes with RH just seems nicer than all the other plain unaccelerated ones.

Redhat is more aimed at the enterprise world (give us dosh for support). CentOS has a great community following. They are essentially the same product, but one isn’t after your dosh.

But for the desktop environment, XCFE is nice and lightweight as said up there.

Metacity is the default windows manager in Gnome.

Why Redhat? Try CentOS (owned by Redhat but more community driven) CentOS[/url]

Sugar is the crazy one for me at the ‘mo.

I had a look at the amount of sugar in loads of yoghurts on the shelf today (yes I know) and some of the so called “healthy” ones had 18% of your daily sugar intake in them. WTF?

Not possible really in Windows (well you can sort of but it just hides it).

    Disable the feature then 😉

I’ve just built a Win 7 Pro laptop to dual boot with Kali Linux. No IE = less updates 😀

I wish I’d just sold my house!!!

Get an agent to find and reference a tenant.

Tenancy agreement from here Legit AST

    Join a deposit scheme.

Get an inventory (you can get the agent to do this if you want)

Find some local tradesmen you trust!!! (Landlord’s gas safety check, electrical check [only needs to be done every 5 years] and for all other niff naff and trivia)

You can’t guarantee what the tenant is going to be like, let an agent find them and then if you meet them usually your gut is right.

House up the road from us was broken into during the daytime. The burglar turned the alarm off (ADT).

2 houses on a street, 1 has an alarm box, 1 doesnt. Which do you think the burglar would choose?
The one with the flat screen in the window and tablet on the coffee table

    This +100
