oh sh*t im scared reading this wifes 1.6tdci is making noises… 56reg only 48k

we are thinking of getting shot of it and getting a 1.6 petrol c-max (need a bigger car)

just read this from the handy link above (thanks)

The engine must be run with a lowSAP oil because of the nature of the particulate filter and exhaust gas recirculation valve.

what the funk is lowSAP oil, i was going to change the oil and use halfords 5-30 ford semi synthetic?

i dream of this, i would as suggested above

my one is framed with 50×50 framing, osb against the door wall and insulated with rockwool bats, then plasterboarded

, keep doors , then turn it into a bar/games room and partitioned off at the back near the door a shower/wet room.

Hmmmm, I cry fake. When it turns to make it’s ‘final approach’ it just looks wrong.

i agree, the angle looks iffy and it looks CGI’esque when it’s just off the ground swooping in, the colours change slightly

i got back into golf the tail end of last year, first present the wife gave me were some golf balls…

    fine you say…

but they were secondhand off ebay, to add insult she didnt even wrap them and they were still int the fekin courier plastic bag!!

i was too young to remember but there is the legendary tail of dad giving mum a food mixer one year, she kicked off and sulked all day.

Not sure but ours is above the boiler and has worked on several occasions. Possibly scarier than the smoke alarm.

? we were told not to put it near the boiler?

    1) FFS use lots of sunscreen, the UV is wickedly strong here compared to elsewhere and summer is punctuated by blistering tourists

    + 1,00000000

i remember walking out of the airport and the sun blinded me, i also got burned!

oh the beer is terrible in NZ 😉

I’ll never forget the flight over, went via LAX, 28 hours if i remember with a 2 hour stop in LAX, bloody killed me!

god i want to go back…. (and not return this time!!)

lived there for a year in 2003, just my views mind 😉

defo hire car and do b&b, so cheap, i did the campervan thing but they are too small and stink after a few days. i also did a stint with these guys http://www.magicbus.co.nz/ great way to see the country and as said above, meet people and hop on hop off. they offer you hostels but you can stay where you want.

the south island is better than the north IMO, purely for the WOW visual factor.

milford sound, was ok but a long trek and to be honest theres just as much amazing stuff about.

fanz joseph glacier, do the half day not full day, half day was just enough.

to be honest i loved the place and would move back for good if i could persuade the wife!

Well I’m an old skool gamer from the golden age 😉

as above impossible to answer but genre wise i think the shift from spectrum up to amiga was immense, games like shadow of the beast for graphics and colour were mental.

since then all consoles etc we have been spoilt and in some cases i dont think the gameplay is still there…

agree with many above, Tomb raider on the PS1 WOW!!

but for me it had to be (contradicting myself i know)…

the move to 3rd person view and the whole OPEN WORLD gameplay was amazing.

havent read much of the above but here’s mine..

1 – Idiots who when filling up with fuel wait for a pump where the pump is on the same side as the fuel cap – THE PIPE WILL STRETCH YOU ***** **** ****!!!! there should be snipers on top of the garage forecourt paid to take these people out.

2 – People who take ages at ATM’s, really there is no need!

3 – People who don’t indicate when driving, or worse people who ‘semi indicate’ – example- when turning right at a roundabout, they don’t indicate right but indicate left when turning off?? WTF???????????

4- Xenon headlights and daytime running LED’s all should be banned

5 – lifts, why do people press the button to call a lift then stand directly infront of the doors and then act surprised when the doors open and people file out.

I have to stop already, it is making me angry. Yes, I am a very frustrated man.

me too i have atleast another 20!

some of this will sound crap but i have 10mins spare…

from the age of 16 through to 21 i used to work in a large local drinks wholesalers, basically all the large breweries would delivery kegs/bottles etc to us and we would delivery to the local pubs/clubs/restaurants etc.

i still say the reason i have such a thick skin was from working in this place, basically the p*ss was ripped out of me form 7am till 4am 6 days a week.

we used to have very cheap red/white wine delivered, one horrible job was to stick the bottles in huge plastic vats to soften the labels, as you can imagine over time this water would be stinking and full of glue. sadly for me i was going through my grunge stage and had long hair, they found this amazingly funny so one day picked me up and dangled me in the one vat soaking my hair, i then had to go out on a delivery for the whole day.

some of the stuff they did was sick (i wont go into specifics), few lads got sacked once for ‘messing’ with real ale kegs in the cellar of a pub run be an evil landlord, loads of locals got sick from drinking the ale.

one pub had a huge spread of sandwiches (for a funeral wake) in the cellar to keep cool, of course these were sabotaged with go knows what.

they had me loads of times, once i messed up and order for one of the lads so he loaded the wrong stuff onto his lorry. they had me back the next day, i’d loaded my truck the night before, came in the following morning grabbed my folder and headed off up the road. unknown to me they had taken all the kegs/bottles etc off my truck and filled it back up with crates with all the bottles filled with rain water (so i didnt notice any weight loss) got to the first drop and noticed what they had done.

i dont know how half of them survived as they were constantly p*sed from drinking at each pub drop.

oh i also did a stint in a cold storage facility in when i was travelling round NZ, we had to load shipping containers up with frozen NZ lamb, i’ve never eaten lamb again!

good luck OP hope things work out.

Same here… One of our team of 5 has to go. I am now officially “At Risk” and have to justify why I should stay and a team mate should go…

We are a close team that has worked together for years so it is not an easy task…

    don’t know what to say!!!

our 2 1/2 year old girl wont sleep past 6am (i know that would be amazing for some!)and is taking longer to go down, “daddy need a wee, poo, another story, wheres mummy”

she is still terrible with the food, picks at bits n pieces, loves her fruit but cant give her what we eat.

sleep deprivation is evil though, ive never had so many colds/coughs in my life!

the mother in law didnt help, put the tree up and all i get know is “daddy is it christmas today?”

what a great thread, saw therapy back last year they were great.

i was always a massive wonderstuff fan, sad really as they could have been massive.

saw them about 4 years ago in bristol, think it was just miles and the lead guitar guy, it was quite a sad gig as miles was obviously doing it just for the cash, he was p*ssed off his head on red wine and was in a foul mood.

so them at beautiful days aswell, he had a face like a slapped arse.

never forget levellers headlining glastonbury (1993??) epic.

    aaah the glory days….

**** me felt like crying watching Wales yesterday WTF!!!??? fair play to argentina, wales only breaking into their 22 twice in the 80 mins!!!

i think a combinatioin of howley and warburton is the problem…. does warburton actually speak or shout during a game? howley is out of his depth get gatland back now! then again you have to blame the players way to flat, no vision yet again from some – priestland didnt see the one overlap (AGAIN!) get bigger on atleast he’s got some bollox, if the game plan aint working just go for it!

roberts hurry up and **** off to france and dont bother coming back if called up for internationals, one trick pony.

defence was ok but im dreading samoa not even thinking about nz and oz!!

then again what do i know, back to the old days unless we turn it round.

we just did it and got £1400 back!

but it was on our barclays account not a loan, most people seem to think PPi on loans.

anyway we got charged about £8 a month for PPI on an overdraft, the wife just sent a bog standard claim letter off and forgot about it, 3 weeks later we had a letter saying they have looked into it and that was that.

very sad…. saw it at Farnborough 3 years ago i think it was, they surprised the crowd by doing the fancy take off where it pretty much takes off after a short taxi on full throttle, have ot say a bit of poo came out due to the noise it made.
