im 35 and still deciding what to do, im in engineeirng sales and hate it, i convinced myself i loved it though and it was 'just the current job'- i had an interview only yesterday for what i thought was a better job but didnt get it.

i was tyring to get into the local ambulance service but sods law they were not recruting and it looks like they wont be for the near future.

my mates cant see what all the fuss is about, why i want to 'find that job'….. but i guess i i need ot get out of my comfort zone.

oh by the way my main background is IT, but i aint going back to that.

    dont!

take your time and write your own, or only use the crappy sites to get the basics down, as in thank the bridesmaids etc.

i did this then wrote my own speech (groom), half the site have sh*T jokes that EVERYONE has heard before….. be orginal!

easier said than done i know, but it will go down better on the day.

i'll never forget my mate and his new wife went to india on their honeymoon, they went on a safari type 3 day break, they were coming back to the hotel in a old bus, the bus broke down in the middle of the street, they were sat there waiting for it to be fixed and his wife said (in a shocked voice)

"is that bloke down there doing what i think he's doing"

my mate looked out of the window and this bloke was 'knocking one off' staring at his wife!!

    still makes me laugh….

Lived there for a year and loved it…

    just my 5p worth..

Tongariro Crossing & Kayaking (hundreds of places to do this) are well worth it

Milford sound and franz joseph IMO were over hyped tourist traps.

Milford sound is a LONG WAY from the nearest MAIN town (if you take the dead te anau out of the equation) IF you do go to milford do not do the one day trip from Queenstown, its a ball breaker, I would advise to either A- stay in te anau OR stay at the hotel down in milford sound.

Franz Joseph – i did the half day walk and it was ok but was not "OH MY GOD THATS AMAZING" if you have the cash take the helicopter.

i thought Wanaka was too dead, queenstown is full of 'dudes' but still worth it, get the cable car tot he top of the mountain and the view down is amazing.

Lake Tekapo is veyr nice and chilled, there are some tiny lodges you can/could hire at the time a stones throw form the lake.

    Taupo is pretty cool aswell

its just amazing driving round the country.

    enjoy!

ps- i'd hire a car then get the AA guide book and book b&b's etc ahead of your route,

still getting to grips with our 7 week old…. i summed it up when the baby was born, about an hour after she was born i said to the wife "great, i now have my wife back"…

don't read any of the books, my mother in law was right, "ignorance is bliss" the more books or websites you visit regarding babies the more paranoia it will fill you with. just go with he flow and find your own way.

each to their own but the amount of bullshit books and websites out there (90% designed to take your cash) is amazing, how did they bloody cope years ago, easy…. thats how.

oh all the woman you know, mother, mother in law, your other halfs friends will ALL chnage into freaks for nine months.

i loved the comment about jack dee on last weeks…

i work in a engineering firm, we make shiney things for offshore, tunnel, marine…. it has gone quiet, were just ticking over, but our market is bespoke and we've been going for 30 years so the name is keeping us going.

there's still lots of enquiries but most jobs/future orders are 'on hold because of the current climate' if i had a pound for eveyrtime i heard that.

it is scary times indeed, each day i wake up i stop myself moaning and just be glad i have a job!

VPN will cost and they can be dodgy if not set-up properly.

i'd go the web based route, all the hard work is down for you for a yerly fee.

everything will be backed up online aswell.

if it was me i'd walk away (yes easier said than done and dont know your full details) yes financially you will suffer depending on what you have outstanding but the worst that can happen is you have a sh*t credit rating for a number of years..

she deserves **** all sympathy for having feelings for the other bloke when he dumped her… for that alone i'd tell her to sling her hook!

    best of luck anyway..

Some people change their baby's clothes with every nappy change, but I guess they just love doing laundry. We only changed hers when there was poo or a lot of puke on them.

i agree with you, but try and tell my wife that…. i got 'hissed at' because the baby had a 'spot' of puke on her top when i took her down the mother in laws! SHE'S FIVE WEEKS OLD!!!!

thanks all thats enough evidence now…

i have to hold court when i get home tonight.

i think i'll try and clear out the front 'enclosed' porch and put the existing old tumbler in there if it will fit… i do worry about it being on and not actually inside the house but aslong as somebody keeps an eye on it.

cannot believe how many clothes a 5 week old can go through!

don't worry fella, interviews can be hard. just have the belief in your work….

besides you havent had the bad news yet!!! you may get it.

    if not keep plodding on…

    best of luck

(maybe have a dry run interview with mates, family get used to talking about it so you get bits stuck in your head)

after reading and posting on here…

just called sky and got rid of sky sports and they knocked £3 off my unlimited broadband. £21 a month better off.

he tried to temp me to drop sports an dget discovery channel, but again after 3 week you have watched it all and its repeated….

i'd like to add when i said PVR's are sh*te, i was talking about the £70 one i bought my mum from argos… it was a nightmare + coupled with the fact her signal was shite!
