An estate is totally out of the equation, I wanted to get a high miler V50 but she was having none of it ? Think it was a 1.8 sport with 97k on the clock, but she said if it went wrong it would cost way more to put right than a foucs.

The focus were looking at as 41k on the clock

There’s also a top of the range Laurent & klement?? Octavia 55reg, 52k on the clock for 6k in bristol but want a garage closer to home

It’s a toss up really, an older higher mileage more ‘prestige’ brand or a newer less mileage more ‘common’ (for want of a better word) for the same price.

Whatever it is has to least us 4 years minimum.

sky is great especially if you get Sly+ which is a must

i have unlimited broadband just over 3mb speed and it has been faultless

we have the phone and the phone line rental with them.

All in we pay £32 a month, broadband, sky +, phone and rental.

haggle with them, i only pay £7 for unlimited broadband.

the dell license you were quoted was probably the cost for oem software, ie its tied to the hardware it is bought with ie can’t be moved to other pc’s if it dies
retail software is always more expensive than oem or a subscription license.

im not sure, when i asked the dell guy for a price for a new server he gave the price for office 2007 aswell but we didnt buy any PC’s?

I’m going to take a look at it, it is a risk but I have a friend of a friend who is in the local VW club and I know a local back street garage guy who dabbles in retrotastic stuff, its just the reliability and having the cash ‘too hand’ to get it back on the road pronto if it goes pear shaped, but that’s half the fun i guess (in my perverse logic)

I know those engines can run to over 300k ‘if’ looked after religiously, even if i can get a year out of it trouble free.
