Have been devouring the Costco mince pie offerings over the weekend which have a decidedly homemade taste to them. Bloomin massive though and could do with a bit more filling.
Impressed with the Aldi one I had the other day.

Cannibal Holocaust – Disturbing!! Watched it out of curiosity after hearing so much about it and regretted it ever since.

Dont think this is a SKY own brand channel due to the lack of publicity. Probably something like Motors TV, Extreme Sports TV etc which are done independently.

MY dad and all his mates swear by it. They say the prices are keen and some of the exhibition stuff you can pick up is seriously good. Can also visit them in Peterborough area I believe where they have a shop

Have a look at the Livery Companies in London including the Guildhall. Many do tours and some of them like the fishmongers and mercers etc are seriously impressive. Not loads of people either if thats an incentive.
Could even visit the carpenters company!

Looked into this commercially a few years ago when I was working in the coffee industry with the idea to manufacture pods when the Nespresso market opened up.
Commercially it has very little to do with the coffee and everything to do with marketing and the spin you can produce around each flavour of capsule. As long as you produce a decent crema then you will be fine as any pre ground coffee regardless of whether it is in a capsule loses all of its depth.

There is definitely a business there but dont loses focus on things like recycling as this is most definitely the wrong system for people who are enviro conscious in the first place.

Also if you are serious visit http://www.triestespresso.it/ or http://coteca-hamburg.com/en/homepage/ next year where you can go direct to supplier and even look at capsule producing machines if you want to go all in!!

Swear by Scarpa’s. Haven’t destroyed a pair yet and you can often get a deal on them from some of the German outdoor websites.

For Surrey it has to be either Aigle Parcours or Le Chameau! Or a pair of dubarry’s if you must..

Look at the Weber grinders. Great quality and are a lot better than my cole and mason equivalents.

If you don’t mind the branding I picked one up from Costa for £4. Similar design as the bodum and two years later is still going strong.

Wont be the chicken as that takes 24-48 hours before the symptoms kick in. Will most probably be the rice and you have a touch of Bacillus cereus. Most common food poisoning due to rice sitting in an ambient temperature for too long and bacteria multiplying on it.

The only way to know is to produce a sample for your DR!! Hence the reason most low level food poisoning cases are never reported or dealt with.

Suffered from exactly the same thing and found out that if I had a banana mid ride the cramp feeling at the back end of the ride disappeared, I believe it could be something to do with potassium levels but it worked far better than any sports drink etc for me..

Dont get the the Stoves. Had that one in an old house and it was useless. Engineer was forever coming out to look at it.

The Rangemaster brand is a lot better but if you are planning to stay in the house I would second the recommendation about a Britannia.

Get a book called Total Recall by Pippa Mattinson. Best money you will spend on the dog as it will make your life a lot easier later on!

Don’t be scared of operating a premium niche food outlet. If the location (by this i mean what end of the street you are on let alone town/city) is right then you can tap into the growing market share of quality quick service eating establishments.
Don’t be tempted to buy cheap brandless catering equipment off the internet or get involved in lease hire schemes for coffee machines etc. They will burn you badly later on. I would seriously look at getting help from someone in the industry to help you with this as I have seen so many places loose thousands through bad buying.
Menu development is key too making good money! So many inexperienced establishments will develop dishes with ingredients that have no crossover and also no idea how to control wastage. This can kill your cash flow especially as you are establishing yourself.

Finally have a good look through this blog http://greatcafes.blogspot.co.uk/ . The guy is a food consultant to some of the big players in the industry but does this as a sideline to highlight the good and the bad.

Check the third ride down on the following link, http://www.mbr.co.uk/routes/south-west-england/10-best-uk-winter-rides-317957

In my opinion it is some of the best riding in the peak with a mixture of quality singletrack, rocky descents all with a fair bit of climbing. You can link up the clover in different places if you want too so worth looking at an os map.
