Two books to recommend. The first one can be hard to get hold but is worth tracking down.

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/Gundog-Training-Made-Easy-Hardback/dp/1409215318/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1521738565&sr=8-10&keywords=gun+dog+training+book

However before you even think about that concentrate on socialisation and letting her be a puppy! As above dont use puppy pads and be really vocal if she bites too hard. Also when it is safe to do so always let her off the lead. She will naturally stay close and helps training later on.

Have a look at thundershirt’s. Have seen them work really well on anxiety prone dogs.

Large scale event catering is often calculated using complex excel spreadsheets for ease of use at the end of an event where EPOS tills haven’t been available. The problem is they get very big very quickly and errors creep in which no one knows how to fix!

Calculating stock/cash/transfers etc to work out losses etc and you will find most places have been using the same system for years and don’t know how to change it.

Happy to share a copy of one if you want it?

Having a pump track built in our village (2000ish people) currently thanks to funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Awards for All. The parish council and local residents have really helped push this through though apparently.

Cheers for all the above. Made my life harder! Forgot about the Genesis and am I right in thinking that they basically make the pinnacle as well? Like the look of the Dolan as well but have no experience of them.
Narrowed it down to these three..

The route is from just outside Hayfield to the Tameside area. Its a decent size commute but my theory is I would be coming home from work and doing it anyway! You also get used to cycling hills in gales living there…

First off What do you do when you let the dog off the lead? Read this post about free running and free hunting in working dogs. It perfectly describes your situation and what is going on (Scroll a little bit down to read it)
    http://totallygundogs.com/category/gundog-training/

You have a classic situation of buying a dog from a working family and the prey drive will be beginning to go through the roof. If you have landed on a good gundog then you will be having a nightmare without directing his energy but not in a way most dogs need. This is one of the reasons a lot of working dog owners wont sell to non working or experienced families. The difference in spaniels can be night and day depending on where they come from.

Your recall is broken and the signal you are using is now useless. When I work spaniels they are kept close at all times until they are about 2 and I have bombproofed there recall. You need to start again and you either need to visit a gundog trainer or group (explain what the issue is and what you want out of the dog and they will help or point you in the right direction). Stay away from generic dog trainers.

If you dont want to do that get this book which was written by the same person who wrote the above article. It is brilliant and really works. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Total-Recall-Pippa-Mattinson/dp/1846891493

Finally the amount of excercise the dog gets is irrelevant. Your dog needs a job and needs to be mentally challenged. A 45 min walk which includes a 15 min training session will wipe your dog out for the day if done well.

Get this book from somewhere. Its written by a Spaniel owner and the first few exercises are brilliant to follow and really will help you and more importantly the dog.

Use this way to make your first batch of biltong. Cant go wrong with it and just adjust drying times to taste. Add cayenne or paprika to the spice mix if you want something with a bit of heat.

    Try this company for glasses
    https://www.misterspex.co.uk

Found them to be a lot cheaper than the high street and the service is brilliant as they send you out a load of glasses to try and you just send them back the ones you dont like.
    German efficiency at its best.

Thanks for all the answers so far. Interesting to see the difference of opinions and basically sums up a lot of my feelings and the sheer uncertainty that is mental health.

Thinking as an employer I have just started to directly approach companies and being honest with them in the off chance that someone will take a punt!

I have learnt not to be embarrassed about the condition any more and it galls me having to cover it up when I know that I am now more capable than I was before thanks to the medication and understanding of what I have.

4 people I know have been murdered in SA this year in the North of the Country and the racial tension that this repulsive company have manipulated is criminal.

The problem is that they have also stirred up tribalism as many people in the black community of SA are slowly but surely turning against the ANC so Zuma and his rotten cronies are desperately clinging on to power.

This was known about in the higher echelons of BellPottinger and a proper investigation and possible criminal actions should be taken.

Know the area well and can recommend tattershall castle
    https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/tattershall-castle

Also the battle of Britain memorial flight is based next door at coningsby and is worth a look if the kids wouldnt be bored!

Have a look at Louth and its market and you can tie it in with a walk around Hubbards hills which the kids will enjoy.

Finally if you fancy a bite eat next to one of the best beaches in the area go to Sandilands. Much quieter and nicer beach than many in the area and the Fat Seagull deli is kid friendly, inexpensive and probably the best food in the area at the moment for Lunch

Went through the boarding system and absolutely loved it but I would say it depends very much on the child and the school.

Sporty, outgoing kids thrive but the more academic type who is slightly cautious and shy often have a very hard time boarding and are better suited to being day pupils.

The right school is paramount as they can vary dramatically and some of the more well known schools become a game of onemanupship in terms of wealth etc.
+1 with the above about mixed schools.

Scared dog. Drunk person cooing and arring and pushing into a dogs face and frigtening them. Growl as a deterrant then a warning snap/bite .

If the dog was truly vicious once it had bitten it would have ripped her face off especially being a mastiff/ridgeback.

Sign of an untrained dog that is doing something naturally. Highlights the problem of owning powerful breeds that need really strong leadership and training instilled into them from a puppy.
