    yeah, this…

    Contacts plus Oakleys.
I wouldn’t go for prescription Oakleys, partly cos of the cost, partly cos I change glasses depending on conditions.

I use monthly disposables from Specsavers.

we eat various different makes of jelly beans that most of the supermarkets sell 3 bags for a £1 – Shona’s strictly veggie and that’s the only kind jelly sweets she’ll eat. No animal froducts in them as far as we can see.

Knard on Rabbit Hole fit’s in Karate Monkey, Salsa El Mariachi, Bontrager 26 and 29 Switchblades forks too. Currently have it in a 26″ Switchblade on the front of a Salsa Selma – rides sweet!

Good choice – I’m 5’6″ and ride a small Mariachi and Selma. Medium will be spot on for your usage, enjoy!

What do you need to know?
The Troll is more mtb, shorter stays & longer tt
LHT is the go to road tourer it seems, though we’ve used ours plenty off road too – not so much mud clearance tho’ it’ll fit a 2″ tyre plus guards.

what size tyres? for slicks SKS P50’s would do the trick.

32/19 here in the Sth pennines for general stuff, 20 for 24hr ‘races’

A tooth here or there doesn’t seem to matter too much – you will adjust.

yeah, 42:18 works, about sixty inches seems to work round the South Pennines.

    Landcruisers here too.

Or stick a Surly stainless one on & sleep comfortably in the knowledge that you won’t have to make this decision again for the next 3/5/7 years.

    that.

Someone must have them as the distributor don’t have any – just 32 & 36 there. Unless of course they didn’t have any to start with, it’s a relatively new product isn’t it? Guess you could ring Ison Distribution direct and they’d give you the info…maybe even who they’d sent some to?

Used an 8 on our Big Dummy – worked fine with an old mech as a tensioner. The ratio you suggest seems a bit low. From what I remember we ran a 44/20 worked fine – that low gear on the 8 really is quite low as a bail out gear. You could climb walls with 32/22!!

Used Revs on mine, seemed to work okay like most RS stuff I guess. Lighter than Sektors but most seemed to use Pikes which is what Sektors replaced isn’t it? Pay more lose weight.

    what they said.

more grip, less punctures, less faff, more riding.

Ultegra? Any Shimano flat bar levers from a road groupset will be fine.

Don’t think you’ll get v-brakes on a Mezzo. Just get some better caliper brakes – Shimano 105 or similar should see a significant increase in brakeability.

I did it on a Long Haul Trucker with a 44 and 32t ie on and off road gearing, worked fine with a Sora road derailleur out back.

Low pressure so more grip with no pinch punctures is how it works for me. Total convert.

    50cm I reckon. I’m 5’7″ and rode a 50 for years.
