Try Interparcel – we’ve had no problems the odd time we’ve shipped to Europe.

    1) s’fine – wider is better
    2) go dual drilled
    3) /\
    4) not especially, it’s just a wheel.

they do look ridiculous but jeez they keep your hands warm & dry. Just used thin liner gloves on the commutes in well below freezing temps. That’s on those commutes when normal gloves left me a little emotional.

Yup, Hope spacer should do it.

I’d discount the Diablo – too heavy on my helmet anyway.

Not really necessary as you’ll use your light at night and run the gps off the battery. We’ve run a Garmin 800 all night with the backlight on and it’s only used a third of the reserve. That’s on a small battery the size of a smartphone, sorry forget the exact capacity but it was only £26.

ah, starting to make more sense…

yup, just use a buffer battery to store the excess from during the day. We use an inexpensive Anker one from Amazon.

am I missing something? the shell on a KM is 73mm and you’re proposing using a htII/68/road chain set?

you probably know they’re not recommended for disc wheel use but Shona uses them for her ‘race’ 29er and they’ve been fine – she’s only little though…

yup, ADAC here too. There is a rumour that they’re taking no more UK customers as they sub out to the AA who didn’t like having to deal with big vans.

No 9 is the 29+ fork. Well, up to that anyway, will work with standard size tyres too!

yup, Sunrace thumbies will last much longer than the cheap revoshifters.

And ts is solid axle, cc is qr. personal pref, either will be fine so long as you use a chain tug with a qr version.

Our Surly ECR on the BearBones – love it to bits.

Are you going to file the bottom of the seat post to allow you to remove it in the conventional way? As they come Brompton posts are removed from under the bike after removing the seat.

2″ tyres no problem on a 26″ wheel – with guards.

Schwalbe Marathons have always been available in 650B. Nothing narrower afaik.

I’m riding an ECR singlespeed at the BearBones200 this weekend. Better mud clearance out back due to longer chainstays. Anyway, have run the Krampus s/s and had no issues, just like any other Surly with the same dropouts. Put a chaintug in there and all’s well.

Oh, yeah, Dirt Wizards will probably be early next year, look like a great tyre.

@trail_rat. That pic of the Surly – did you have to unbolt the disc mount to remove the wheel? Just fitting a Speed hub to a Krampus – same dropouts I think.

The LHT has a dedicated anchorpoint fitted for the Rohloff OEM2 axleplate – just needs a chain tensioner. As here – https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=592184767464547&set=pb.191474587535569.-2207520000.1371400979.&type=3&theater

Seventh in mixed pairs – think we’ll enter as males next time we’ll be better placed! As always more/some training required, maybe next year. Fantastic event in the sunshine tho’ eh?

    What he said ?

Wow, we came away from the event and our reaction was how friendly everyone had been!

Our overtaking experience was much better than we’d experienced at Mayhem or SITS for instance. It should be noted that as we were riding rigid single speeds our experience of being overtook was considerable ;o)

Takes two to tango when overtaking ime and as there are a few agendas out on the track sometimes it doesn’t work out. Just a ‘can I pass when you’re ready?’ has always worked for me.

Thought it was a great event as a first timer and we’ll probably go again.

    Healing vibes to the OP.

700 x 35s aren’t in the 2013 catalogue – 33s are and are in stock in the folding pacestar version with two of our distributors – steep at £50 though!

Should work fine with the road version of BB7s – not the mtb version though.
