Been and bought the Nukeproof neutron/electron this afternoon though !l LOL.

To be honest I looked at both of the Nukeproof s side by side and couldn’t see much difference at all, so decided to save the tenner 😀 Cheers.

So what are the decent but cheap flat  pedals to go for at the moment?Nukeproof neutron plastic ?  Or any other recommendations?

Well the apps on my fire that were playing up after the updates have sorted themselves out ,except gmail ,but that’s not a problem as my gmail email is working fine in the built in email app ( if that makes sense)

Regarding suspension,how would a man’s be different to a womans?surely it’s about the weight and riding style than the sex of the rider?

Well I may have spoke too soon.Plugged mine in tonight and some of the apps updated and now won’t work.Tried uninstalling and re installing but no difference.Gmail is doing the same for me ,is opening and then closing immediately.Hmmm.

Got a Amazon fire 8 recently,£50 from argos! ,and followed these instructions( which i got from singletrack i think) to install the play store and all the Google stuff which took about 3 minutes.If I can do it anyone can because I’m sh#t at anything like that.

Are the 2017s much different size and geometry wise to the previous year model Ian?
I am 5’10 and have a medium 2014,(same as 2016 frame) but it’s always felt just a little bit small for me,loads of seatpost ,too much drop to bars and no chance of a short stem.The large (looks) too big though,it was the same with my old trance,I wish giant had done a m/l like they do with some of the road bikes .
I realise both anthem and trance changed for 2017 , with more reach etc which could make a difference?

Watched this last night and thought it was brilliant.
I’ve always been a U2 fan though and I’m one of the few it seems that thinks their albums keep getting better , I’ve honestly loved every single one of them.
Like someone said above,I think it has almost become fashionable to dislike them ,a bit like it got with the Beatles, the fuss people made about songs of innocence being on their iPhone was laughable in my opinion.
Meanwhile,U2 keep selling out massive tours around the globe so they must be doing something right.

@andreasrhoen ,I think you may have taken what I wrote slightly the wrong way there.I didn’t mean to sound like someone with piles of money to throw at whichever bike I choose because I haven’t, I’m almost skint actually LOL.
I was trying to say to frozen white who wants to buy on a £1000 budget (like me)and is clearly having a bike choice dilemma (like me) that any one of these two bikes should be more than up to the job for most of us,and that having a bigger budget would just make the choice even harder!

My aim is to have no targets lol.
I am going to start riding for fun only again,not worry about strava segments,average speeds,mileage etc.
Basically learn how to bimble and enjoy being out on the bike again as I think the above have sucked a lot of the fun out of it for me this year.

You think it’s tough trying to decide between two sub £1000 bikes, just imagine the dilemma if you had more money burning a hole in your pocket and you could choose between hundreds of different bikes!
Personally I’ve never spent over a £1000 as I normally buy used. I’m currently trying to decide what I want next and- like the above poster- I also like the t130,but when I think long and hard about it I struggle to find a reason to spend almost 3× the price of the calibre on something that will essentially do the same thing with very little difference!
I should imagine the calibre or the Boardman would be plenty good enough for what most of us need if we were honest with ourselves,ie one or two xc or trail centre rides a week and a couple of bigger days a year.

I’ve not ridden either of em but on paper the cannondale looks amazing,much better value than the whyte,been staring at it for over a week now!

I haven’t ridden either but would get the calibre myself, just because I think it looks nicer and has slightly more modern geometry.
