I found it cheaper too book a car than get transfers, maybe I just wasn’t looking for the right sites?

Information on summer transfers, buses etc is pretty thin for the summer. I feel like someone could make a fortune filling the gap !

I’m unsure how People can claim the new Shimano motor is more reliable when they are only now coming to market?

I was also thinking this could be my first e bike, but the price isn’t there for me.

I rode a Bosch e bike yesterday, shocking how quick they are!

I have the latest version of the transition patrol, it came mullet, i now run it 27.5 all round. For most of the riding I do it’s made it more fun, I wouldn’t say it’s made my bike any slower either. Mullet is probably better on rough stuff perhaps

    I’m going with yes, unfortunately!

At least they drilled a nice hole rather than ripping the door off, given the number of vans sporting stainless plates on the side I guess that’s the solution to covering the holes/ preventing it happening as quickly.

In the mean time you could tie the door shut from the inside?

I did some working out last night and as it stands we are looking at £4k a year increase.

I do worry about friends though, alot have bought houses with 5% deposits and maximum term lengths just to get on the market. They won’t have much wiggle room.

With just over a year left on the fix I’m going to hang on as long as I can. Current rate is under 2%

XT over SLX everytime, I too have suffered with the chain getting stuck in the jockey wheels on an almost new mech. Eventually this happened and bent the mech beyond use.

I have a DeWalt strimmer and it lasts ages on a 5ah.

I also have the hedge trimmer and lawnmower and can’t fault any of the kit.

When I got the strimmer DeWalt had an offer on too claim a free drill (body only) so keep an eye out as I’m sure they are running the deal again this year

I rode cwm Rhaeder first, got a puncture at the top of the descent. So dropped in as it hissed away, thankfully I had a double down on, it must’ve sealed in the end. Got back to the carpark and had 5psi.

Really enjoyed it, quite fun and flowy.

Pumped the tyre up and drove to abergorlech, tyre was holding pressure so off I went.

I did enjoy it, felt quite a grind in places but I made it round in just under 2 hours.

You can’t currently link across to the raven trail according to the trail closure map it seems

    Thanks for the replys,

That Doethie ride has peaked my interest, however I feel like it would be daft to attempt it as I’m on holiday and have my bike but don’t actually have much more than my bike, helmet, knee pads and a water bottle with me.

Think I’ll head to Rhaeder first then ride the red at Brechfa, mbwales site seems to suggest it’s not affected by forestry work.

I did plan to ride afan on the way home but it adds quite a chunk to the journey so I’ll probably pop back into Nant yr arian for a quick ride

Don’t they do similar in the Alps? Doesn’t stop people going there

I’ve just moved to them after e-on refusing to lower my direct debit or to refund me some of my credit.

Was debating going on the tracker tariff they do, any thoughts?

TSB do a monthly saver that’s paying 5%, you can only put £250 a month in though.

Not a current account, but you easily access it if needed.

What about hiring a vehicle between you all and splitting the cost of it/fuel/tolls/ferry or tunnel.

£80 tolls each way (from memory)
£125 tunnel each way (if you don’t want to go at 2am)
Tank of fuel each way in France

Although hiring can be expensive you can soon make it more cost effective splitting the travel costs.

What’s the deal with warranty on stuff like this, does it go back to where you purchased it or do rockshox sort it directly?

Lordgun is showing at £320 delivered with a vat estimate of £65ish presumably to be paid on delivery

Already had mine go from £79 to £144 when the supplier went bust. Best start saving to make it through next winter and another price rise.

I’m also waiting for decals, will fit tonight and test ride at the weekend. Be interesting to see if I notice any difference to the Zeb apart from the weight loss. I weight 75kg and feel like the Zeb is overkill for me

Swapped out the air shaft for a 170mm that I got off eBay for £30 posted.

No crusty grease and plenty of oil in my set, 2 tokens installed and 2 in the box. Removed airshaft is the slightly older one.

    Can’t complain for the price

I know someone with a 2016 ns fuzz 1 medium gathering dust if it would be of any interest?

I’ve owned a new scout in medium and I’ve owned two 2018 scouts in large.

The new scout is a seriously capable bike, with worth looking into the cascade link as you you can up the travel 15mm. So you can easily change travel if you do decide you need more travel, like wise you can run different shock lengths. Transition warranty this too and allow 140-160mm front travel.

For me though, the older alloy scouts are as much fun for 1/3rd of the price, quite hard to come by though.

So in theory from September we can drive 3.5t vehicles with 3.5t trailers? Or I have missed the point

I’m taking delivery of a new bike next week with code rsc’s on and removing them in favour of fitting my existing e4’s.

Is this the worst/least stealth, stealth ad ever?

I got it to work with gx shifter and xt mech, and I’m no mechanic.

Got an xt shifter, xt mech, gx Cassette and chain and it’s been spot on for ages

The stamped stuff is okay until it’s cold and damp and then it’s very slippery.

Something like the space brace might be your new best friend, certainly is mine.

Also have a look at Tahnees Instagram highlights, she documented her recovery.
Whatever you do don’t rush, as it may bite you in the ass(or ankle) in the near future.

Debating selling my transition patrol to get one of these, purely for uplift/bike park trips. I have another bike more suited to my local riding.

What do we reckon, waste of time or go for it?

Tiger sheds are ok, delivered before quoted time by a few months. Can’t fault the shed

However they Didn’t send me one of the pieces of wood to run down the edge of the roof. They sent me another, it was wrong. 2 months on I’m still waiting to finish my shed (yes I could buy a piece of wood but it wouldn’t be the same colour).

Aslong as it’s built properly and to the manufacturers instructions with out riggers I don’t see an issue personally.

I don’t see how you’d be at any more risk if you use it correctly (don’t climb up the outside of it) than using it on the floor, as if the scaffold it’s on is built correctly then you shouldn’t be falling anywhere.

Aslong as it’s built by someone with Pasma and tagged correctly you should be covered.

I’d say it’s fine and I’ve seen it done before, the scaffold had sheets of ply down to make moving the scaffold safe.

Another suggestion for the transition scout. Can be run 150 or 140 rear.

I also have a patrol but the scout is more fun most of the time on local trails, unsure
if I’dd ride it at places like dyfi bike park though.

Bird aether7 would be where I’d be looking, or a second hand alloy transition scout frame, I’ve had a scout and it pedals better than an enduro rig.

I was set on an aether7 frame but ended up buying a barely used 2020 transition scout frame, there was hardly anything in the price.

I wouldn’t call an airdrop edit a trail bike either
