@ir_bandito : Just the contact form at http://www.uvex-sports.com/de-en/contact/ and selected spare parts, filled my data including my address …
Didn’t get any email response from them, just the pads in the mail.

    Thanks for your opinions.
I’m leaning towards the DT because I think the star ratchet is a better design.

Have the old orange slot dropout and current orange vertical. As said before the top tube is a bit larger and the head tube angle is slacker (by 1 degree).
I definetly feel the difference, but is difficult to say which is better. The new one is stiffer and you can feel the slacker angle. The paint job on the new one is a bit better (the old one was crap).
Slot dropouts can only be a problem if you pan to run avid bb7 – have to use lager rotor on mine.
    They both still ride great.
    PS: Both are 29ers

    IMHO not worth it.
Bought this Reba RLT with maxle lite for my Inbred 29er a few weeks ago.

How much longer stem is needed if you go from fleegle to mary?
Using 80mm with fleegle at the moment.

Alloy Switch EVO freehub is crap, still a good value wheelset.

I used my mad math skillz 😈
    * my rear hub width is 135mm
    * shimano middle ring chainline is 50mm
    * did the math (135/2)-50 = 17.5
    * measured 17.5mm from the dropout to cog center
    works fine

I have a dual air Reba RLT. The T is just one more adjustment to better tune your fork to your liking.
If you are a lighter rider than it is useful to lower the lockout blow off threshold to better suit you. The preset setting for this on RL models is better suited for normal and heavier riders.
I think for a lot of riders it is better to have a simpler fork with fewer settings that just works.
So I wouldn’t spend the extra but mine was cheaper than the RL equivalent at that time.
The RLT resale value is better.

    @glen815
Have been running them with flows and both went tubeless with just a floor pump. CM front SB rear both single compound. They hold air great, probably because they have the maxxis exo sidewalls.
If weight is not your top priority you will not find better tires for the money. They really are maxxis tires with a different label on them.
    Twentynineinches also likes them: http://twentynineinches.com/2012/10/21/on-one-smorgasbord-2-25-tires-final-review/

    Trail 29er tires i have ridden/tested:
    * On One Chunky Monkey 2.4/Smogasboard 2.25 are maxxis made tyres have good grip and are sturdy. Great for the money. The downer is they are havier than similar Ardents.
    * Schwalbe Hans Dampf 2.35 are very good all round tires, light for the volume and sidewall protection.
    * Maxxis Ardents 2.4 is great for dry conditions.

I think is more weight than drag on the front.
My 29er single compound version is almost 1kg (985g).

On One carbon fork on SS, Reba RLT 100mm on HT. The white Rebas where cheap on bike-discount, otherwise i would prefer the black ones. Happy how it looks now. They both ride great.

Have two. Both orange. One rigid SS and one 1×10 with suspension fork.

really happy with them. cheap (on sale), sturdy, fast rolling and good grip. they work really well in rocky and loose stuff. use them on the back with hans dampf on the front on my inbred 29. have the regular single compound version. the only downside for me is the weight (850g).

Don’t have a cotic but the chainline on my shimano cranks is 50mm (measured from the center of the frame). If you have the 135mm rear hub, you can get the position on the cassette where the chain is straght by measuring 17,5mm (math: 135/2-50) from the rear dropout – where the hub touches the frame. I have learned this when setting up my singlespeed. In my case the 1×10 chain is bent more when on 36t rear, than 11t. No problems so far, but def more draggy then my ss.

Both are good and reliable brakes.
The difference in braking power and lever feel is there (i own deore 595 and slx 675 and tested 596 before i bought the slx ones) but not enough for the average joe to care.
But we are not average joe’s 😈 and i would definitely put slx on the cotic.

Deore 596 have new levers (sans knob) and old 595 calipers.
SLX 666 and 675 have new levers (with knob) and have new calipers that can take finned pads.

Shimano pads for deore are more expensive than non finned pads for slx. Non shimano pads (like superstar) cost the same for both.

I think the weight difference alone its not enough to care.
The same goes for the reach adjustment knob – one less thing to break.

I took the SLX for my latest build mainly to be more future proof, but still use the old reliable deore 595 on my singlespeed.

I have Hans Dampf front and Smorgasbord rear on my inbred 29er trail bike and think it is a really good combo. I really like it.
Beware, Smorgasbord is not a good tire for the front – the profile is too round, Hans is not a got fit for the rear (in most conditions) – too slow and wears very fast.
