This one is anodized, I believe from looking at it so the paint’s not a concern.
Crappy BB30 bearings though, hmm. The price of progress!

Steve, what were those ‘issues’? BB30?

Skywalker – I appreciate your opinion!

snapping chainstays aside…yeh, bit concerned about the BB30 but the spec and geometry looks great, love the idea of maxle both ends on a 130mm bike. Looks lovely in the flesh too.

Been offered another 10% off too, so it would only be £1350…

But they’re a different frame design for 2011/12?!

that’s cool Messiah, the bike I bought has the BB and it is massive! Just need to get the bastard out of the frame now!

cool, thanks guys. Was going to sell them but they’re so nice (photos do not do them justice) that I’ll probably keep them for an Alpinestars retro build one day…

I’m convinced they’re White Industries, I think the spider is too intricate, their cranks, if memory serves me correct, where one piece forged..

Thanks Rootes, without physically comparing the BB end squares how can I determine whether the cranks are ISO or JIS?

I’m thinking early July and don’t really want to spend more than £500 all in.
Defo no camping thanks! I like a nice bed and a decent shower!

    Was looking at Christiana actually.

    Happy with Morzine too.

Anyone want to share a lift / costs?? I’ll be driving down in my V70 estate so loads of room!

Hi, I bought an L and an XXL (for a mate). I’m happy with the L, as it’s cheap and I bought it for winter/spring DH and enduro riding. Sadly the XXL is too small for my mate, he’s a 49″ chest.
Therefore it’s up for sale if anyone wants it?

I paid £34 posted so I’m happy to pass it on for this.
    Email in profile,
    Cheers

I had a Budgie too! I snapped the frame after nailing a jump I made in the garden aged 5, I cried, but quickly recovered when I got a second-hand chopper that was way too big for me.

teamhurtmore – thanks for those words of advice. I like what you’re saying and fortunately my boss is a great guy, who I respect, so I’ll do it today.

The irony is I’m a great motivator for others, either my team or friends. In fact, on the course I spend most of my time helping others.

Hels, you’ve kinda got a point there – I’m (probably) one of many on here who has a good job but feels no ‘ummph’ and yearns for something fun hence no motivation to the course.

Stumpy – good words also, nipping on STW is about right! Pen & paper is exactly what I use when I do actually get real work done!

Don Simon – you’re a little bit odious aren’t you

I love the hostile responses you get on here.

I won’t lose my job, might have to pay back the fee though. I was only letting out a bit of frustration at myself for being such a tool with this.

Kev, you’re no doubt right, once the seal is broken the momentum usual builds.

iDave – nice! Can I use my double clubcard vouchers on that?

How do people find appropriate and amusing picture things so quickly?!

scaredypants – that would probably push me to get something in but the lecturer is cool and understands that work comes first. I’ve got a ton of responsibility and travel a lot so there’s no way I’d have made the first due date anyway.

Anyway, where’s all the secrets to motivation??

+1 for Chimera from the TV. I was about 10 at the time and I’ve never been so terrified.

aha, some great feedback there, many thanks!
I’ll look at the loft option, makes sense to me.

Will the signal strength only reduce if the TV’s are on? Like I said, currently with two TV’s on the signal is fine. I can’t imagine adding a cable will reduce the signal if it’s not used?

Re. sucking and seeing would mean two trips by the engineer if the signal is shite, I don’t have roof ladders so I won’t be doing it myself.

Aha, I guess my next question is…is £250 for a squirt or as many sessions as it takes until she’s preggers? Within reason of course.

Thanks Momo, so £250 for a go with a pure bred, KC registered, chihuahua stud is pretty reasonable?

I picked up my bargain Ariel yesterday, just swapping all my old bits over and then will be heading over to Cwmcarn tomorrow for a razz. Can’t wait, as above, the angles look spot on and it’s good looking to boot!
    Piccies later on me thinks…

    Hi Mosey,
I have a brand new, unused, set of Fox Vanilla RL 140mm forks – these ones:

    http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/components/forks-suspension/product/review-fox-racing-shox-32-vanilla-140-rl-10-37494/

If you’re still after some QR forks?

I’m not sure of the steerer length because I’m sat in work, but I can check later if you’re interested. They defo should be long enough though.

    Bargain at £300 posted!

    Cheers,
    James

You should buy my 2008 Cannondale Prophet frame that I’m about to sell!

MTG – the house comes with a purpose built 17′ x 11′ studio/workshop in the garden. Cavity walled, double pitched slate roof, exposed beams, polished concrete floor, multi-fuel burner. Perfect for my bikes and motorbikes. Actually looking forward to winter in there!

AndrewBF – that was actually one the encouraging factors!

I think nedrapier has the best solution so far, but some kudos to PeterPoddy, I really should just grow up.

Toys19 – Yup, they wouldn’t make any difference to my riding experience, but they are so purdy!

    Androgyny – that’s a bit clever!

Androgyny / narcissism / European financial meltdown… what have the Greeks ever done for us?

Here’s a thought though, if I posed as a woman on here I’d be branded a bit of perv wouldn’t I? Ipso facto, TSY you’re a perv.

Thanks for the clarification TSY, I hope I didn’t offend by asking it. Although it appears some are stating otherwise!

Supertramp – I can’t imagine the vilification I’d be on the receiving end of if I tried to charm on this site, no matter how smooth I am!

I broke up with my long term girlfriend during a holiday in Centre Parcs in the lake District. (yes, that is how to have a crap holiday in the Lakes – Centre Parcs, not with my ex).

Anyway, I just couldn’t bare to be in our relationship any more so I ended it in the chalet.

Biggest issue was the 7 hour car drive back to Cardiff. Talk about uncomfortable. All my mates took the piss out of me for not waiting until we were back home. (to be fair to them it was after the dust had settled and the tears had dried up).

I don’t know which is worse. Dumping or being dumped.

I want to end it with the girl I’m seeing at the moment but I’m too much of a coward – especially after doing the face to face thing 2 years ago with my ex. It damn near ruined me.

I’m thinking that being a crap boyf and letting her dump me is the best compromise!

Crazy-Legs – yours are wise words indeed!

It was my first MM and as a whole I enjoyed it. The combination of camping, banter and riding was pretty good.

Organisation was good, facilities were good (although no beer tent??) – it was nice not to have to queue for a shit! Didn’t bother showering because it was only 24hrs.

We were camped next to the ‘jump of doom’ peeps and 23hours of heckling was great!

The riding was way too bland but the terrain did remind me of when I started mountain biking nearly 20 years ago, so I spent most of my laps reminiscing about my mis-spent youth but without booze and weed.

However, purely due to the un-technical course I won’t be doing it again…probably.

Taking into consideration everyone’s comments should I take a steel hardtail with conventional rear triangle or…a Prophet, which I know is over-biked but is single pivot and actually has less places for mud to cling to and accumulate, what do you think?

This 5×5 workup thing. Quick question please:

I can fairly comfortably do 3 sets of 10 reps on 80kg on the bench press. If I’m looking at 5×5 any suggestions what weight I should start with? 80kg still?

Also, do you do a ‘warm-up’ set?

    Cheers
