    My only question is this

does it need to be a club?

I run a MTB group on FB with over 6000 members, we take out rides multiple times a week.

    It’s just. mates. riding bikes.

For disclosure, i am MIAS 5. but that. has little. difference on the rides.

It’s worth getting you l3 for that hope deal.

You can join ambg with your 3 and the deal is through ambg

Hi, its good to hear that BC are covering nav, it was always a less important aspect for them, many of the BC coaches i have employed have been less confident in that area.

it maybe location based though, i am peak based so most “outdoor” folk already understand the need for good nav skills.

It’s a member benefit of AMBG membership. which you can apply to join with l3.

there’s. 30% of Endura. from l1 upwards. makes those. expensive onsies almost affordable.

In fact, if you do get your MIAS, i can probably put some work your way as well.

    I run. MIAS courses.

happy to advise on any questions.

The major benefit of MIAS, its accepted internationally, you can call and speak to Martin at any point, rather than the faceless BC.

and the courses i run are a load of fun lol.

one additional, as far as i am aware, BC dont focus as much on navigation, MIAS consider that an essential skill. map/compass.

insurance is easy afterwards, £50 a yr.
and at l3 you can get hope at 40% discount!

    winner.

    any questions please just ask,

i also run first aid courses. for anyone needing one.

For any BC MTB coaches, i am sure we can arrange a reciprocal agreement with MIAS to convert your qualifications to MIAS.

i wondered about this situation for a while

i regularly see. 20yr old MTB’s for sale. still serviceable, and still able to give someone a great intro to MTB. Is this timescale for an E down from. 20 yrs, to 5 yrs?

Standard advice for MTB in the Peak.

Look on Facebook for the group called Coggers.

    Ask in there.

    5600 Peak District riders.

slightly off topic, but if you are riding packless, look at getting a Sawyer Mini Filter.

i carry one, fresh cold water from streams.

and far far lighter than bottled water.

I would happily run a certified 2 day outdoor first aid course for everyone, indeed i run such a course monthly but i cant post up a link to the courses on STW as it contravenes the no commercial posts rules for the forum.

    Hi,

i carry the triangular because it can be used as a support (limb if needed) a dressing (its clean) and in worst case for packing if there is a deep enough hole in anyone.

Modern Calico triangulars weight only a couple of grams and it takes up so little space i cant talk myself round into disguarding it (yet)

I run a first aid training company, yet my personal daily carry while riding is tiny

    i carry.

    1 triangular bandage
    some steristrips
    a Kilt/nappy pin
gaffa tape is wrapped around my frame.

    thats it.

the kilt pin, consider supporting a broken limb, with a kilt pin its quite simple to turn most items of clothing into a support with a kilt pin.

Log into Facebook and the group called Coggers.

Ask the same question in there.

I am guessing your planning on using an ebike?

If not, truthfully, your very naive thinking a 70mile ride in the Peak is achievable.

log onto facebook and ask the same question in the group called “coggers”

you will get lot of info, and most likely invitations to show you around.

    How near Sheffield?

The Toby Carvery on J37 is good for a catch up.

The red lion at J32 is good as well.

    this is the answer

clone the hdd or ssd and move that

before you do that though make sure your windows liscence is tied to a microsoft online account. then when the new pc starts you will be asked to log in, your liscence will be updated and you should be able to download and install allo the drivers needed for teh new pc

i know this works. i did it myself less than a year ago

So after you have soaked your mech, and stripped of all the lube that was essential for operation, and in nom serviceable locations. How are you planning on replacing that ?
