Idiots, two trains an hour not including On track machines, freights and empty stock movements. Crossings are usually only dangerous because the public are very stupid when it comes to safety and seem to think hundreds of tonnes of steel can stop on a postage stamp or that a 25kv OHL system will turn itself off if you scream loud enough after touching it.

Trident missiles are ageing, the propellant cracks (solid rockets) and may explode during he burn phase because of this. The beryllium/tritium pits or equivalent in the fission stage of the nuke also go off, half life etc. The lithium deuteride fusion stage should be ok or recyclable. The electronics will also age, electrolytic capacitors have a finite life and any inductors will have a number of on off cycles before they start burning out.

Personally I’m all for renewal, when I’m watching that mushroom cloud rising over Gatwick I’ll be hoping that however launched it is having a miserable day.

BG + barge poll, they were 4x more expensive than the next company we used.

A few years ago driving up a very wet dual carriageway in Crawley in a Peugeot Amateur I aquaplaned badly over a stream coming across the road, “lucky I wasn’t going any faster” I thought, “that could’ve been nasty”, 300 yards up the road where the road curved slightly there was lots of yellow carbon fibre bits and a very tatty/shattered looking lambo sitting on the bank with a very shaken looking driver on the phone.

Big tyres, a very wet road, lots of power and no self control looked to be the cause.

    I still want one.

Rarely go to ours as it’s just an excuse to drink until you cannot stand whilst slagging off the boss behind his back at the start of the evening and too his face later (some of my more idiotic colleagues). Then there is the depot “social hand grenade” who after 3 pints finds someone to try and pick a fight with whilst we look on working out when best to separate him from the person who’s going to lay him out.

    Fun times 😥

29er HT to start with made my 26fs feel like a slug, so much so I’d loathe going out on it. Now got a 29er FS and bifocal is it fast. Only really notice the big wheels on tight nadgery stuff but speed and roll-ability more than make up for that. 29 all the way for me.

650b is for people that can’t ride 29ers properly……….(that’s a joke everybody, each to their own as far as I’m concerned)

Nationalise railway, idiocy, it would lead to decades of inefficiency, new empire building and reorganisations. Better to get some oil industry contracts managers in to beat up the project delivery contractors.

Avoid focus 1.6 TDci, engine is a well known hand grenade, leaks on injector port 3, sludges the oil, kills the turbo (and repeat as Ford Technical instruction to clean and replace turbo feed pipes and sump are rarely performed properly).

And at 1439 it became self aware and in a panic Ian Munro changed gear first, Di2NET struck back, 52:11 on a 25% climb was very messy…..

Telecoms Tech for the largest independent telecoms network in the country, it’s a huge monolithic monstrosity with a vast gulf between the people in the Electronic Kremlin and the grunts on the ground. Cannot remember the last time I was technically challenged…….oh and I’ve been waiting 18 months for a new laptop so I can possibly do my job properly.

Looks like A27 junction too me, I went through there this morning to work and saw the traffic queues starting at 0730, so decided to drive home on the inland route, shit, poor barstards wouldn’t have stood a chance. Horrible.

Feeling a bit numb as I’d um’ed and arr’ed about staying and doing another job and just sucking up the A27 traffic past the air show and I’d have been going through there about that time.

Think I’ve just used one of my nine lives……

Have a peak on the HT, a roadie version on the road bike and a new 2.0 on the FS (which was first used all day in Wales two weeks ago with no issues), due to on going epidyimitius issues and a tense prostate I’ve found them a god send.

Broke mine, A&E missed it, told it was a sprain, tried manning up for two weeks at work before going back, re x rayed and spotted it(can take weeks for healing to start so often missed on first x Ray). Bone died, fobbed off for 3 months by consultants before they admitted it wasn’t going to heal and then Herbert screw and bone graft off hip.

3 months healing after op before back on bike

Weight front more, counter steer harder, look through corner properly. 29ers require more input to turn in than 26 or “that wheel size for people that cannot ride 29ers properly”.

Work with GSM a lot of the time, climb radio masts as well. We have NARDA alarms to warn of dangerous RF and even holding it on the face of a mobile sector 30M up it still wont go off! That said the BTS was probably not call handling, just transmitting its BCCH.
