F35 = very expensive waste of money, slow, unmanoeuvrable, prone to catching fire and to carry sufficient arms it needs external hard points which defeat the stealth. Oh the gun won’t work till God knows when as the software won’t be ready till then and it carries…….200 rounds, that’s around 4 secs. Absolute rubbish in a CAS role! A10 is the U.S. Armies most called for air asset when the guys on the ground need help!

B’stard hard, that’s what. I took a visitor from Belgium around the South Downs and Friston a few years. Legs like giant redwoods! Basically they’re training involved all day slogs into a head wind along the coast roads or muddy slogs around the edges of wet flat, wind exposed fields with the occasional beach race for fun. I was a broken galactic dictator by the time we got to the pub I can tell you. The only redeeming feature was he couldn’t do singletrack for toffee!

I drive it regularly and wouldn’t want to ride it. It’s straight (so high car speeds) in places, narrow in others with limited sighting that most road users don’t take into account.

Mrs M left teaching from primary in a “special measures” school after being hounded out by a nasty piece of work replacement head who has since left with the school still in “special measures”. The school is in a sink hole town with high unemployment etc and all the schools in the area are currently failing/special measures due to the unrealistic targets being set. She loved teaching but the workload was immense and relentless with planning, meetings, marking, levelling and reports. 60-70hr weeks continuously.

The only original teachers left at her school are just hanging on till they get a full pension in a few years time. The boil in the bag NQT they drafted in to replace my wife last half a term before buggering off saying there must be more to life than workIng like this!

Considering giving high caffeine shok bloks as treats………
